      @mediamogul I don't think the problem is with disk imager with the backup card. It doesn't appear in Windows, doesn't appear in an Android phone- I'm pretty sure that card is just hosed. :D

        It could be. Is it not currently serving any function?

          Where did you purchase the card you're currently trying to use and was it unusually inexpensive?

            @mediamogul it was originally my main expansion for my tablet, and then stopped working. I can't get anything to recognize it.

            Ok- so I'm not sure what happened... but apparently the system was eating the gui. When I went to double check that I wasn't set for a text boot, it asked me to apt-get install a package. Sitting here thinking, it installed, I commanded emulationstation and it fired right up. What?

            Edit: Bought from Amazon direct, wasn't unusually cheap.

              Is it now loading Emulation Station on successive reboots?
