@adzter Errr... I don't know then. Sorry I couldn't help. Just sounds very odd.
-
I have been dealing with the same exact issue for days now. Havent found a solution yet.
-
@Travisty Glad to see i'm not alone. Are you running the same setup as me?
-
@adzter same setup, just out of curiosity what micro sd are you using?
-
@Travisty Sandisk Ultra 16gb MicroSDHC

Does anyone know if this could possibly be the issue?
-
@adzter Even I have exactly the same error that you have. Same setup and the same sd card. It could be something wrong with the sd-card. I'll get a new one and test.
Tell us if you find a solution

Ok. Scratch this. False alarm...
-
I'm going to build the latest release from Github and try that, if that doesn't work i'll begin to pick through the source code until I find the issue.
-
When attempting to compile using Debian I was getting kernel panics and references to null pointers in memory. After trying a different SD Card, Cables, and power sources everything has only began to work once I've bought a new Pi.
I can only assume I've got a faulty unit?
Regardless I'm now able to run RetroPie on the exact same setup (with the Pi swapped out).
