Even on PC, the 3DO emulators are very slow and buggy. In the end, for the games I have wanted to play, have found nearly all were released either for Dos or PSX. Games like Need For Speed, Return Fire, Fifa, etc.

I think it could possibly be caused by something wrong in your system retroarch.cfg or even global retroarch.cfg. I'm not sure exactly what lines would cause it to not look at the per-game .cfg file, but I know doing things in the Retroarch GUI and using save on exit can populate a huge .cfg file in either the system based or global config. So it may be worth trying to revert to the .rp-dist(should be stock) for global and system retroarch.cfg, and seeing if that fixes it.

I fixed it.

It was due to rpi-update i did after raspbian fresh installation.

I reinstalled raspbian but not updated firm and all seems to work now.

As is always the case, as soon as you ask you find the answer :)

@herb_fargus The micro sd is new as of today after exchanging the previous one, so I'd hope that's not the problem. Seems the hd cable works with my consoles, too. Thanks for the suggestions, though. I might have to chalk it up to the power supply.

So you have to controllers with the same name? I'd imagine you could use the Input SDL lines in /opt/retropie/configs/n64/mupen64plus.cfg in this case.

Try setting section Control1 and Control2 mode to 1, then type in the name of the controller here

Worst case, that doesn't work, you could try Fully Manual and copy the contents of a working SDL Control1 section to the SDL Control2 Section

I learned the lesson too.

I did a clean reinstall of raspbian jessi and started from 0. Now I had no issues installing or starting emulation station.

But I have a problem with my gamepad, that I can´t fix after several hours reading, reinstalling all again , etc.

I can read "1 gamepad detected" on emulation station, but when I press a button for configure, nothing happens.

lsubs command show me my logitech rummblepas 2 is detected too. I don´t know what more to do.

Even tried with a wired PS3 gamepad, and is the same, it is detected, but nothing happens when a button is pressed.

Yup, that was it... wrong ROMset. I didn't realize this is MAME version from 2000... but it works great now.
