I tried to put ps1 roms in my retropie but when I went to the start menu psx didn't show up. I've tried adding roms in many ways but it never works. Is there anything I can do?

You'll have to give more details about how you set it up - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

How did you copy the ROMs to your RetroPie installation and where ? What format are they - .iso, .cue/.bin ?

do you have it set up to parse gamelists only, and if so, do you have a gamelist.xml in your psx folder?

@jojin .rar files are not supported for the PSX system by any emulator, so they're not considered games/roms/disc images.
Add the .cue and .bin files directly in the psx folder. You can see which files are supported for each system in the Docs.

@jojin Look in the Docs, there's sections for each emulator, look over the Getting starting guide, the Emulationstation pages, then later on you can take a look over the RetroArch and Advanced configuration options. Feel free to ask in the forums also, there's no wrong question (well, almost).
