      Hi everybody!

I'm trying to get the lr-beetle-psx emulator to run. I think I have some Grafiks/ GLX problems, but I'm a fool with linux ;-).
Every time I sart a psx game the loading menu appears, followed from a black screen and ends in the game menu again.
In the log file stands somthing like [WARN] [GLX]: X error message: GLXBadFBConfig, request code: 152, minor code: 34 and [ERROR] [Video]: Cannot open video driver ... Exiting ... , ERROR] Fatal error received in: "init_video()". Do I have to install any Driver??? Or needs the lr-beetle-psx a "real" Grafikboard (I'm using onbord Grafik).
MAME, Amiga, C64, 3DO are running without problems....

Hope someone can pointing me in the correct direction...

Here are my glx versions, if necessary: https://pastebin.com/Std6fexD

Pi Model or other hardware: Asus Intel Mainboard
      Power Supply used: 750W PSU
RetroPie Version Used: v4.6.1 (x86 running on Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS)
Built From: Used this howto -> https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Debian/
USB Devices connected: Keyboard, Mouse, Controller
      Controller used: PS3 Controller
Error messages received: No error message. After starting a game the start menu appears, then a black screen and than the gamemenu is showed again.
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant): https://pastebin.com/bgAHuP0G
      Guide used: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Playstation-1/
      Bios File: scph500.bin, scph5501.bin, scph5502.bin
      Emulator: lr-beetle-psx
      Attachment of config files:
How to replicate the problem: any ps1 game

      Greetings

      Thorsten

OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 19.2.8

beetle requires OpenGL 3.3 for the opengl renderer. bu, you should be able to run it in software mode

[INFO] [Video]: Using HW render, OpenGL driver forced.

hmm, i'm not sure if you can run hardware core in software mode. can you see if there's a
beetle_psx_hw_renderer option or similar in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-core-options.cfg? if so, set it to "software". if you can't find it, could you please upload the whole file?

          Thanks for your reply!

To be safe I upgradet a Grafik board GT710 . Now my OpenGl is 4.3 (Compatibility Profile) Mesa 19.2.8
Now the lr-beetle-psx starts with some games!!! :-D Some things can be so easy. Thank a lot!!!

At the other hand some games can not be opened. Error message "no such file or directory" (line 37 to 41 in runcommand.log) https://pastebin.com/5G7SAKT9
There is the .bin, .cue and .srm in the folder. Perhaps you also have a solution for that problem?

          Greetings

          Thorsten

            [libretro ERROR] Error opening file:
/home/thorsten/RetroPie/roms/psx/Destruction Derby Raw (Europe) (En,Fr,De,Es,It)/Destruction Derby Raw (Europe) (En,Fr,De,Es,It) (Track 01).bin
            No such file or directory

it sounds to me like the .cue is bad and points to a file that doesn't exist. you could either acquire a different rip or attempt to create a new .cue (see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Playstation-1/#bin-only-roms)
