@mitu Can you tell me how to open that to read it? When I go to it on my laptop when connected through network it won't let me open the .cfg file

@obsolete It's a text file, you can open it with any plain text editor (Notepad/Notepad++).

@mitu So the retroarch config is absolutely huge. Its over 3000 lines total. What should I do?

@obsolete Rename the file, then re-install the lr-pcsx-rearmed package from RetroPie-Setup.

@mitu What does the file need to be? Should it still be in the PSX config folder?

@obsolete Doesn't matter where, as long as it's not present - with the same name - in that configuration folder. Just add .bak at the end of the file name.

@mitu So I have a retroarch.cfg, a retroarch.cfg.bkp, and a retroarch.cfg.rp-dist. What do I do with all of these? I should only rename the retroarch.cfg right? Should I move a copy to my desktop and then delete them all?

@mitu No luck. I did what you said and it still isn't working

@mitu If all else fails I will just take my losses and use everything else minus the PSX emulator. I now have a gray and white retroarch menu on PSX instead of the green like on everything else. So I'm obviously not doing something correctly.

Did you use Reset Configuration from the RetroArch's menu (RGUI) ? If you do, the menu driver is no longer RGUI (the green menu), but the default (Ozone).

The /opt/retropie/configs/psx/retroarch.cfg should contain only 3 lines

                        # Settings made here will only override settings in the global retroarch.cfg if placed above the #include line

@mitu I do recall pressing reset. The retroarch config that was then present did have 3 lines but it still didn’t help the problem.
Another problem I had when I was trying to transfer a rom over WiFi it said action interrupted. Do you know anything about that either?

Post a detailed log then - see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Runcommand/#launch-with-verbose-logging for how to get one.

No idea, but it's likely a flaky Wi Fi connection.

On WinSCP, I only have the path of home/pi/RetroPie and home/pi/RetroPie-Setup. Where do I go from here?

@obsolete You need to configure WinSCP to show you the hidden files/folders. Any folder/file that starts with a . (dot) is hidden in Linux/Unix.

@mitu I removed the PCSX-ReARMed.cfg but saved a copy to my desktop before deleting. Still no luck on loading anything. I tried to run two different games. Both have sound but no video still.

@obsolete can you get another verbose log now that you've got rid of the override?

can you also paste the contents of videomode.cfg within your /opt/retropie/configs/psx/ folder?

can you post the retroarch.cfg from the same? it should look like mitu's example

paste the one from configs/all/ whilst you're at it.

@dankcushions I’m pretty confident in myself to get everything except the configs/all. How would I get to that specifically?
