      Mostly for Retropie, Emulation Station and Retroarch.

      Perhaps when a newer version of an emulator rolls out as well.

      Would be quite nice if Emulation Station could give a pop up notice if something is outdated, but that's asking a bit too much. :D

        Personally i am checking GitHub pages of RetroPie project and the emulator's i am using . There you will find all the informations about changes, bug fixes or for upcoming updates.

        My English isn't at a good level.

          It's probably too much to ask as that's 100s of projects and updates to curate. i would guess that every day there's at least one update to a bit of software in retropie.

          just 'watch' the relevant projects in github. eg https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup to receive update messages.

          updates are also summarized in each retropie release: https://retropie.org.uk/news/
