      backing up retropie SD concerns

      I am using w32imager and 7zip to compress the image. From 15 GB, it's shrinking to ~ 5 GB.

      The overrides for cores/games should be stored in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/configs, each core has its own folder for overrides. If you're backing up /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch, it should be enough - you can restore them afterwards.

      Other than that, the backed up folders you mentioned should be enough.

      @pauly1705 Backup the ROMs/BIOS/configs, as indicated in https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Updating-RetroPie/#making-a-backup-option-2. You can copy them later on the new system, starting with the ROMs.

      Backup your sdcard also, before re-installing.
