      usbromservice

      Hi,

I was trying to indeed find what package(s) was/were responsible of that change. Removing "usbromservice" stopped the root privileges behavior :)

Thank you so much for the help ! Have a great week :)

@pfoff The error is a very generic one and it's unlikely it's something related to SDL, looks like there's a problem with your system. Check dmesg for any related errors - especially hardware ones.
With only 2Gb or RAM, you'd better off using the 32bit version of the OS, you won't gain very much with a 64 bit system. Also, on PC all packages are built from source, so there's no need to re-compile manually any package.

@mitu If retroarch is looking for and the bios, which folder? As if there is a folder it is searching at all it could be worth to drop it into that folder. I reinstalled and nothing.

      @buzz

Would creating an image require me to have an SD Card reader?
I believe that has been the source of the majority of my current hurdles, however I liked the flexibility of having NOOBS just while im getting to grips with the RPI3 and what im planning to use it for.

      Cheers for the advice though.

      UPDATE:

By disconnecting my Pi from the internet, I was able to install the Jessie Version 8 of Raspbian, otherwise it was going online to retrieve Stretch Version 9

From here on out - it's a standard install, Binary options were available, and now its all setup.

Seen as I already have Pixel Desktop Installed how do I enable the Pixel Desktop Option in PORTS without "Installing Pixel Desktop" via the RetroPie-Setup?
It didn't seem to work last time.

Okay! Thanks very much, I indeed noticed it only could be installed from binaries! So I'll try that!
If I install it through that will I be able to use it through the EmulationStation?
Is there any documentation? I've something about configuration file editting..

@vampireJ For a laptop, Ubuntu is recommended as I use that for development (So it's the most tested). 16.04 or better should be fine.

Note, when posting for advice in the future please read https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first (as agreed when registering). Things like hardware platform are important and in this case it would have saved me time.
