@AtomArne I copied this from reddit and it's how I use it on all my builds now.

"Skyscraper supports inputs as command-line arguments or in the config file. Since your credentials should not change from now on, it makes sense to put them in the config file. Edit the file ~/.skyscraper/config.ini and put your login in the [screenscraper] section, like this:

      [screenscraper]
      userCreds="Username:Password"

(put in the same username and password you use to log in to https://www.screenscraper.fr/ )"

@mitu said in Video Snap volume TWICE AS LOUD as in-game play:

@Dochartaigh said in Video Snap volume TWICE AS LOUD as in-game play:

      That's at 96%

That's pretty high, even without omxplayer. My guess is you've modified the RetroArch settings for the sound and you're not using the system audio volume, but some config that got saved.

96% is the default a new build has come with for years if I'm not mistaken (if we're talking about the same menu, in ES, when you hit 'start' > Sound).

Also impossible for me to change the sound volume as I wouldn't even know where to start looking to do such a thing (which is also why I posted here about audio since I know near to nothing about it ;)

@hawkes_84 It comes with more experience in config files to recognise or guess the different comment characters as well as section titles in square brackets. 🤓

@drdave79 both of the optional scrapers (I use Skyscraper) can scrape from local sources:

      Hi guys!
Sorry to resurrect the old thread, but have you found the solution for this?
I fixed the aggravating intermediate screen tearing problem by switching from fkms to kms, but now I'm having those errors... I know they're not that big of a deal, but they really poke my eyes.

...I had massive tearing even with Vsync ON and double buffering - and I don't like tripple buffering because of input delay.
Switching from fkms to kms fixed it and all the games are much more responsive right now!

Video Snaps worked on PI3B but not on PI4 (same videos/gamelist)

@mitu The gamelist is fine. It is the exact same gamelist and folder contents I use in the Pi3 setup I have.

I have formatted the card and started over. The videos are now playing.

I suspect something messed up when I was touching the raspi-config. I selected the fake KMS GL driver and something got downloaded (even though such was the 'default' option for Pi4). I would say that's what messed it up on the first place, but I do not have the curiosity to try it again (now that it works).

Thanks to all who replied to try help me out. Appreciated.
