N64 Controller Configuration

I am trying to configure lr-mupen64plus to work with N64 USB gamepad (like this one).
First time d-pad and joystick were messed up. Now it is impossible to configure joystick in RetroPie's input configuration and the controls do not work except of Start and B.However this gamepad works fine with OpenEmu.
Somebody please tell me what and where must be reconfigured for this to work propertly.
