Hi! Amiberry for me works pretty great, except the sound issue (https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/19528/broken-amiberry-sound). But I have one minor problem, too. When Amiberry launches a disk-based afd image, it uses the mouse and joystick config of rp-1200 or rp-500, that's as it should be.

But when Amiberry starts in "whdload" mode, I have to create a new config for each and every file. Why? It does not set any controller. So as a result, I now have a ton of config files (all are pretty much exactly the same), just because there is no common mouse / joystick config.

      Help?

      Pi-Model: Raspberry Pi 3B+
Power Supply: Official one, with Raspberry Logo on it
      RetroPie: 4.4
Built From: Official Image from the RetroPie-Website
USB Devices Connected: Blutooth Dongle (internal turned off), Logitech Unified Controller
Controller used: 2 8bitDo Gamepads (with newest firmware, via Blutooth dongle)
Emulator: Amiberry, newest version (updated via menu)

@annomatik said in Amiberry WHDLoad mouse/joystick config:

Emulator: Amiberry, newest version (updated via menu)

Sorry, this means nothing to me. Did you install Amiberry from binary or from source? If you can't recall, then please tell me the version of Amiberry you are using. You can find this info in the About section in the Amiberry UI.

Also, could you let me know which WHDLoad package you are trying to load in Amiberry?

Hi I used the binary update. According to About, it's version v2.18.2

Until now, this happened for every package. Examples:

Thank you annomatik for posting the question. I'm having exactly the same issue (as well as similar issues with choosing Display preferences) and hadn't got around to asking yet.

I'm just posting here to let you know it's not just you and that at least one person is following this thread intently. :)

@annomatik There is a bug with the joystick auto-configuration in RetroPie 4.4. Can you try installing from source?

Hi! Updating to 2.21 (update via source) solved the problem -- thanks! I could even delete the "custom" configurations for the games I tried before, Amiberry now sets port 0 to mouse and port 1 to joystick all the time -- thank you!

Now, everything in Amiberry works fine for me, there's no lag in games, the graphics look good, the loading times are fine... Just one thing is broken -- the sound, see https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/19528/broken-amiberry-sound . Maybe someone can help me out there, too?=

                Thanks!
