PSX emulator not working on certain games
-
Pi Model or other hardware: Pi 4 4GB model
Power Supply used: Some 3.5(?) volt power supply
RetroPie Version Used: 4.1.8
Built From: Pre-made SD image
USB Devices connected: Keyboard and controller
Controller used: PDP Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
Emulator: (Name of emulator - if applicable): PSX (Which ever one is default)
How to replicate the problem: Try and Launch Castlevania Symphony of the Night with a Nintendo Switch Pro controller.I got the PSX emulator all set up with the SCPH1001.bin bios, and threw Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 (THPS2) as well as Castlevania Symphony of the Night (SotN). THPS2 works well on my PI, runs smoothly and I am quite happy with it. However, when I launched SotN, It boot up just fine, but my controller doesn't seem to have any input. (Or it could just be the start button, but it works in THPS2 so I'm assuming its the entire remote)
So, I checked all over and everything said to change your settings to Standard and change the Retropie Pads. However, my controller is a digital controller, so RetroArch was already set to standard and not Analog by default.
I'm Stuck.
Thanks in advance

@meltedpineapple have you updated lr-pcsx_rearmed in the last month or so? you may need to disable multitap, as per https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/28825/no-controls-for-analog-games-lr-pcsx-rearmed-solved (ignore the analog part)

@dankcushions Thank you so much! I only had to change the multitap settings and now it works! Although, when I changed my controller to dualshock (Like the tutorial said), it stopped working. Thanks again!

@meltedpineapple ya, that’s what i meant by
