lr-pcsx-rearmed slow game with multitap
-
Hello, i've set up a Pi 4 with retropie 4.8 from pre made sd image and official power supply. I want to use it for party games (6-8players) and first game i tried was micro machines v3 on pcsx. I set the multitap on 1&2 and saved the override - works fine. I then wanted to do it on Micro Maniacs. The game runs perfect for single player. Once i turn on Multitap it gets super slow if 1 multitap is on (1 or 2) and gets even slower with 1&2 on or even freezes. If i set it back to multitap off it runs fine again. Is there anything i can try? I get a message that a bios file may help to improve performance? Since the controller are all mapped and recognized when multitap is on they should work. With one multitap i was able to get 5 player into th vs. mode but its so laggy its unplayable. The lagging starts with the start of the game. The intro is in slowmo and sounds awful.

Using a BIOS file is always recommended. Try adding one of the supported
BIOS files and see if performance improves. -
@mitu it worked just fine after adding a bios. Thank you!
