      @mitu Sorry,
      I am using Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 8GB
      Retropie V4.1
      Installed from Raspberry Pi Imager.

        [...]

        Retropie V4.1

        I don't think that's correct, that version didn't support the Pi4. If you've used the RPI Imager, then you probably have the 4.8 version installed.

        You haven't offered details about how the controller is connected - and I didn't follow the video your posted. Is it using USB or Bluetooth ? If it's a Switch controller, then installing the hid-nintendo driver can help (see the Switch Controllers page).

        Update the RetroPie installation, so it's up-to-date, and try installing the driver mentioned above.

          @mitu Hey I installed the Nintendo driver and it worked! But for some reason the right joystick down and right don’t register.
          And I have updated to the latest 4.8. And my controller is a wired one.

            Does it work when testing the gamepad with jstest ?

              @mitu Yes I tested it and it seems to work fine for that.

                OK, so it's not a driver issue. Can you try again configuring the device in EmulationStation ? If that doesn't work, you can configure it manually (see here).

                  @mitu Hey it’s been a while since I last logged in,
                  I realised that it actually doesn’t work with jstest. My right analog stick can’t move right and for some reason it has stuck drift for the left but when I try on different devices or steam link it works fine. Why is this?

                    Maybe they have a different/newer driver for Switch compatible devices ?

                        @Limegreengamer9 I don't 'have' any other drivers.

                        You may try to see if the gamepad works with a more recent Linux kernel, with the drivers included there. Boot with a recent Raspberry Pi OS Lite and try to run jstest there to see if all inputs are properly detected. You may need to install the joystick package for the jstest command.
