I recently bought 2 Kosda Bluetooth controllers to use with retropie. I'm running version 4.0 and was able to successfully connect both controllers via bluetooth. However when I reboot and go to configure input I run into problems. It detects both controllers but when I hold down any key on either controller nothing happens. I get an extremely faint "keyboard" pop up at the bottom of the configs window but it goes right away after a millisecond. Please help! I haven't found any threads that relate to my issue.

Did you try installing a udev rule from Bluetooth configuration? Do the controllers have more than one more?

Yes I did. Option "U" in Configure bluetooth devices. I also tried switching option 8 on and off to see if one made a difference or not.

Please post the output of the following (please format in code block or use external pastebin site)

            cat /etc/udev/rules.d/99-bluetooth.rules
            udevadm info --name /dev/input/js0

also if you run jstest /dev/input/js0 do you get any feedback when pressing buttons etc ?

Assuming you rebooted also after setting up the udev rule.

User here was able to get it configured fine in ES - they had to tweak their retroarch joypad configuration though for it to work with games - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/2097/controller-does-not-work-in-games
