Legal help needed

Late to the "party", but I cannot believe what I just read. This is absolutely nuts.

If there is still an interest in filing a TTAB claim (https://www.uspto.gov/trademarks-application-process/trademark-trial-and-appeal-board-ttab), we should be donating more to the project than usual so they can hire someone in the US to review. Problem is, has to be filed by someone with standing to dispute the Trademark.

I got banned from Reddit for suggesting that someone take down Facebook profiles of 2 other innocent people with the same name. (roll eyes emoji) Just another reason to dislike this chap.

Although your support is appreciated, please avoid any personal attacks.
Everyone: I hope to have some news regarding this soon (I have received a mail from current trademark owner today that is certainly positive - but want to confirm and sort a few things before officially announcing anything.).
-
@BuZz Thanks for the update BuZz. Hopefully this has a speedy and positive resolution.
-
@BuZz That's great news! I hope everything is cleared out and/or solved.

@AlexMurphy Here's hoping...:)
-
@AlexMurphy source?

@Fruitybit Yeah, fingers crossed it works out. BuZz seemed to be making positive noises above too. I just love how this guy is trying to make himself out as an innocent victim AND a hero to the RetroPie project in all this. The reality being that he is a douchebag carpetbagger who stole the name and goodwill of a project he didn't write a single line of code for or contribute to in any way at all.
-
@daeks It's from reddit.

How about chaninging the name from Retropie to something more universal?
Xbmc did this (now kodi) and that's better for them because it was weird being called xbmc when it was available on so many other platforms.
Who knows what the future holds?
I'm using retropie on non-Pi hardware already. -
