        @lilbud Hey bud, why don't you create a repository for game specific launching images (maybe overlays too)?

        I know you like to create splahscreens... In fact I use many of your splashscreens from retropie extra as game launching art.

        If you like the idea we can make your art installable by my new script.

            @lilbud wow! Pretty fast!
            Take a look at the info.txt rules here:
            https://github.com/meleu/rpie-art/blob/master/INFO.md

            Each game must have its own folder. You can take a look at the @UDb23 's repo as an example.

              @meleu Does this seem right?

              Could you fix it if it isn't.

                The Balloon Fight.zip.cfg (rom_config) is missing. Unfortunately I don't know the overlay config details... :( I just made the script to install the configs, not the configs itself.

                Maybe @backstander or @UDb23 could help with it.

                Also, you can name the directory with a "human friendly" name (e.g.: Balloon Fight) with spaces and capitals and even subfolders (e.g.: nes/Balloon Fight).

                  @UDb23

                  Splitting images can provide quite nice bezels, but it depends a lot on the specific image.
                  Generally I prefer not to split/cut writings and therefore try to reposition these; but that's just my personal opinion ;-)

                  How I did it was how I had it pictured in my mind but it was more of an experiment. When I was making it I also thought about what you just said and worried splitting the text would look bad but after actually using it at an overlay, it doesn't bother me lol

                    @meleu: how does your script manage overlays for the same game but from 2 different creators ? ;-)

                      Added @backstander 's repository to the new script repo list. ;-)

                      Don't forget that the script is in its initial development phase. Next week I'll work more on it.

                      @lilbud adding your nes-based splashscreens with some pixelized letters saying "now loading... press a button to configure" would be really cool! The info.txt file for launching images is pretty simple.

                        @lilbud , @backstander -> tip: please check cfgs and info.txt when you create overlays.
                        @backstander: your baloon fight info has "metroid" as game name.
                        @lilbud: comments in your cfg for baloon fight refers to "river city ransom" (but being comments will not hurt installation ;-) )

                          Look the script's main screen:

                          0_1492187427789_Captura de tela de 2017-04-14 13:29:28.png

                          If the overlays for the same game are from different repositories, there's no problem at all. But if they are from the same repo, they must be on different folders.

                              @meleu I created a pull request in your Repo: update to info.txt specs.
                              Can you have a look ?

                                @UDb23 I've just merged. Thanks.

                                Some things to note:

                                • once we started to use the info.txt file, the Option N subdir isn't necessary. You can place the optional files in the same dir (with different names, of course) and point to them correctly in the info.txt files (but using Option N/ subdir is completely valid! You can keep using this way).
                                • there's no need to name the console generic overlay as console-LR.cfg. You can name it as you want. Just point to it correctly in the info.txt file.

                                  @meleu I just used your "development phase" script from your repo and i'm getting an error trying to install @UDb23's new Silkworm Overlay. It just says:
                                  We've had some problem with the file ""!
                                  Update files from remote repository and try again....

                                  I tried updating and it still is haven't an error :-(

                                      @backstander there's a problem in the line 6 info.txt. If you fix it in your end and also submit a PR to @UDb23 repo it would be nice (I've submitted the PR). :-)

                                        I really need to make the script check and warn about info.txt inconsistencies. Will put it in my TODO list.
