      @princegumball the screenshot you posted is already in the command line, assuming yours looks the same. i don't know why you wouldn't be able to type.

      I missed you saying this. Maybe I wasn't clear enough. Both me and the other person can't type after that error. Yes, it's a command line. I've found the only keys that work once it gets to that point are shift+3 and shift+~ and those just make little symbols. Can't press enter. Tried unplugging and replugging they keyboard. Nothing. Tried everything everyone has mentioned above to try to get a command line before the error comes up and that hasn't worked. The other person never said if anything worked for them.

      @simonster for the record though lakka does have wifi integrated now and it can be configured through xmb but retropie is obviously going to have more of a selection

      @mediamogul the screen does have trailing issues but the way i viewed the screens on portables was "if its better than the game gear and the atari lynx screens then its good enough for me." I bought my cdx for $90 from toys r us and when i sold it to the same game store i sold the nomads to (game force) they gave me $175 for it. Being in the business though i have gotten so many awesome deals that most people would kill to get.

      @camaro5690 Whew! Ok, that was odd for sure. As for PSX, I can't offer much help, as I have not used it.

      @cif140
      I've set this up using the buttons on a logitec s-150 usb sound card+amp+speakers. To the pi, it registers as two devices a sound card, and a HID keyboard.
      Anyways, I used triggerhappy (or its deamon: thd) to listen to specific keypresses (it has a mode to just show the presses it detects, so you can find out easily depending on your HW).
      This then triggers one of three scripts for volume up, down or mute toggle.
      These scripts first perform the alsa command, then play a sound to reflect the current sound volume.

      This all starts at system startup, and is completely independent from RetroArch.

      I can post the scripts if you're interested, and when I'm back at a proper computer.

      @mediamogul I suppose that's true. Doesn't hurt to reformat with sdformatter if the initial image doesn't work.
