    Go into /opt/retropie/configs/all/autoconf.cfg and change mupen64plus_hotkeys to 0. That will stop it from writing over your custom edits.

    @phillymadison go to configs/all and delete your videomodes.cfg, should reset your video modes for each emulator. Dont worry the file will regenerate if you change any video modes.
    As far as the launch menu https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/runcommand

    you can configure the run command from the retropie options. Its called run command editor. You want to enable launch menu.

    @lilbud

    Is it the Master System or Mega Drive version?

    Have you tried renaming the rom to see if any new results appear by using different variations of the name? Eg: Sonic2, Sonic 2, SonicII, Sonic II, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic The Hedgehog II? Not sure exactly if it will work in this case but I know it has on some of the games I had issues with. Some still refuse to scrape though no matter what I try.

    Hey,

    i tried my luck with the Scraper, it works on most systems but on ScummVM (even though i checked to have the same filenames like in the sheet 2) i will get the following error:

    XML syntax error on line 22: element <meta> closed by </head>
    Any hints where to look for the problem ? Thanks

    @ShootHere said in Dragon's lair Retropie? Working?:

    It downloads a .bt file, is that the file that is used in the end?

    I was rather confused about the approach.

    Yes if you read the thread I linked on post #9 it shows where to find the files etc you need to move to your Pi and how to set it up properly.

    @wetriner said in Keyboard Emulation with Gamepad outside of emulators:

    @TheLuthier There is definitely supposed to be joypad functionality in the retropie setup menus, and I believe it has been there for as long as I've been with RetroPie(something like 2.7 or so) It's just based on your joypad 0 button and DPAD. But it's set to work for typical setups.

    UPDATE: Aahhha! You sir, are correct. I tested and indeed my joypad 0 works (R1 for my setup) and my analog stick is used for navigation (though it's a bit backwards with X axis being up and down). Essentially this solves my original question - Thanks!

    ?

    Thnaks for the suggestion, I checked this but unfortunately according to the configurator it already should be using the left analog as the d-pad...

    depends on how small you want your handheld to be, if you don't want to solder your only option is to find the smallest usb controller you can find, rip the guts out and work around that. breadboarding still entails soldering, not getting what you mean by "build around a breadboard" but don't want to solder.

    this would be smaller than a snes controller but still sports 4 action buttons:

    @dankcushions
    That did the trick! Just slap the roms in:
    /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/
    (you need the 0.78 romset).

    Download hiscore.dat from http://highscore.mameworld.info/ and rename the hiscore(pre_mame0133u1).dat to hiscore.dat and put it in:
    /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/mame2003/hsdb/

    Now I have high scores, correct aspect and the DPad and Analog stick works. :) Thanks!
