        @mediamogul here you go. this is the green one to test. once you let me know if it is aligned right i will start a new thread. let me know if i need to move a pixel to the left or right. look along the edges of the black blocks. if you see a thin pixel line of the background color i need to fix that by shifting one pixel to the right or left. i may need to thicken the line too if it is too thin. i have full instructions for anyone testing it out. these lines of code go in your /opt/retropie/configs/gb/retroarch.cfg file:

        input_overlay = /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/overlay/"NameOfGreen1080Overlay".cfg
        input_overlay_enable = true
        input_overlay_opacity = 0.800000
        input_overlay_scale = 1.000000

        then you need to make a config to go with the overlay named the exact same as the overlay and put this info in it:

        overlays = 1
        overlay0_overlay = "NameOfGreen1080Overlay.png"
        overlay0_full_screen = true
        overlay0_descs = 0

        then you need to name the overlays .png file the same as all the other info. then stick the overlay and the config file in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/overlay/

              Alright, I think it lines up pretty well, but I'll let you be the judge:

                @mediamogul any thoughts on how it is playing with it? I just now beat super mario land so it at least inspired me enough to play with it. If you think its good enough (of course nowhere as good as those shaders :( ) i will put together a zip file with a green, gray and black one for several different resolutions and post it on here.

                  I played through a few levels of Kong 94 and it didn't seem to skip a beat. I'd say it's good to go. Nice job btw.

                    @mediamogul thanks. I do like that there isnt any trailing or weird effects you get from a lot of overlays because the pixels dont line up with the overlays. I just wish i had more control of the background color in this emulator with the existing shaders but i have tried and failed. I need to spend more time to get it working right.

                        HEllo everyone, any update on this? I've tried the GB shaders too, but any is as good as the one show on this page. Any "good urinal color" shaders for the old GB?

                        Thanks for your reply.

                          @mydriaze I'm unfamiliar with the process, but I believe someone must port the shader to the pi. Even then, I'm not sure if the pi is fast enough.

                            @darksavior Thx for your reply. I hope someone will answer this thread, just to know if someone is porting this shader. or if it's possible or not.

                              @mydriaze you can swap out the palettes in the core options as detailed on the docs only works on the gb emulator though

                              If you read the documentation it will answer 99% of your questions: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/

                                Thanks for your answer Herb. Hovewer, i'm not sure to understand rightly. When you speak about swapping through the palettes, you mean in retroarch?

                                Edit: to be honest, i'm a bitright now lost with shaders and overlays. I just look a video of Floob saying shaders are too CPU consuming, and overlays could be a good alternative.

                                Beside that, I'm still looking for my old love, the Blargg's NTSC Filter included in some Retroarch emulator, likev the Genesis one. Can I setup this filter in retropie or I must use olny the CRT-Pi shaders?

                                  I'm updating this post instead of creating a new one.
                                  I'm lost guys. I will try to focus on the GB shaders/overlays issue.

                                  Right now, i'm not happy with the offcial shaders/overlays in Retropie.

                                  @herb_fargus : you've tried to help me, but I didn't understand exactly what you mean by "swapping out the palettes in tyhe core options". I think you speak about Retroarch core options. But what 's the point exactly?

                                  I'm looking to something like this:

                                  alt text

                                  Is there someone who made it posible?

                                    @Mydriaze It is easy. you need to go to the pallet and set it to internal with grayscale pallet to get something like this

                                        @hex It'll be something like that but not like that. I'm sure @Mydriaze would prefer a shader port like me. No overlays really impressed me.

                                          Yes for sure, if we can have an real share we can have a better result !
                                          But i'm not sure PI3 can make this shader working fine without any slowdown :(
                                          It's why for the moment the Border is the good trick to stand for the filter ;)

                                            @Darksavior is right! I'm not really happy with the overlays option. I prefer solid shaders to be honest. For the palette color, i've tried but I don't like it so much. I prefer the yellow urinal tone to be honest.

                                            So, what are the solution right now? (No offense, it's just a question!)
