WIthout going into every game in MAME and doing per game settings for vertical and horizontal games, is there a way to set up all horizontal games with one setting and all vertical games with another?

Then when I'm in individual games, if they don't look right, I can tweak them but they'd generally be close to start.

Hi, did you get anywhere with this? I have a similar problem. I tested the resitors on my Gert 666 board and they appear to be correct. Is it that it's trying to display 888 instead of 666 so some of the colours are wrong? I can't quite work out what's happening here.

The new theme Cygnus -Blue flames is also great for small screens ( 5 inch and more)

New edit : I did an important update today. The theme now has a default interface for uncovered systems. See here

I've uploaded it to the git and added the link to the main post.
If anyone could try it out and give back feedback it would be very much appreciated.

Just tried it out. Looks nice. Just a couple of personal suggestions. The diversity of color you suggested in your previous post would be my choice for each system. Also, in basic view, would prefer game list box to stretch further out to the edges of the screen. Other than that, great job!

I highly recommend the workbench theme from Rookervik: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/5552/release-amiga-workbench-emulationstation-theme

It's my daily driver! Clean and easy to read with a pixelated touch. My favorite thing about it is that lots of info is shown at the same time and stuff rarely gets cut from the side on a CRT.

Also, if you say you're using a CRT, I just wanted to link you a cool little script I use to set the overscan: https://github.com/ukscone/set_overscan
Super useful, play around with the disable_overscan and overscan_scale values to make sure the system does what you want.

@capeman i ended up do it all the old way. But not sure if it mattered or not. It didnt do anything until i ssh'd in and ran the command for progressive which i should gave tried first. Now if we can get a way tomake it change back and forth automatically would be cool.

@melvin-fox The diagram is on the original post but I will link it here in case you missed it:

Anyway you just don't join the Hsync and Vsync together, you must put a 1k resistor on each line before combining them together.
