      @BJRetro said in PSP scraping?:

      @mitu I think he is asking if there is any way to somehow extract the menu image file, music file, etc.from the .iso or original PSP game that was “baked into” the game data itself for display on the original PSP, and then use those (extracted) files in EmulationStation.

      Yes that is correct.

      Going online to scrape games for other systems is good.

      I don't want it to go online for the PSP. I want it to extract the baked in menu data from the game itself.

      If nobody's written a script for that, then that might be a good utility for me to write. But before I go start typing a bunch of Python (seems like the appropriate tool for this) I want to make sure nobody else has already done it.

      Hi guys, I've been mulling this one over myself - thought I'd add to the discussion here rather that start a new thread.

      My build's gone through a couple of iterations so I've actually 3 complete builds and nagging from the wife about them cluttering up the house is making me lean toward eBay.

      As @adamspc has mentioned, selling without the OS installed is the way to go to avoid any legal uncertainties. I've seen a lot of very basic or low quality builds for sale with OS and 1,000s of games included but I'm yet to see a decent, high quality build sold without OS - is there any demand for these? Anyone have any experience?

      Speaking of low quality builds, has anyone seen these guys: http://pixelarcades.co.uk/product-category/retro-games-consoles/ ? Looks to just be a console shell with usb controllers pulled through holes - very little modding going on here. Not even any mention of a safe shutdown circuit which should really be a must. Flagrant profiteering but at those prices I'd be very surprised if anyone is actually buying them.

      @spruce_m00se
      Still testing v4 for a bit longer. Waiting for the next prototype board to arrive. Trying to have it ready by the holidays.

      I've got a post for it in the forum
      https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/12163/pspi-1000-version-4/
      Will be updating that page when the next board finally arrives (been waiting a few weeks)

      @Adrian.antoniw That's the 1000.3 all-in-one board. I'm putting the final touches on Prototype #2 now, so I'll be ordering it soon.
