@audreycrist you've just joined the forum and your first post is advertising an app... I'm wondering if your account was created only for spamming. Do you have something to say about it?

I know the topic is old but for for anyone interested: I tried many ways to compress this game and found no way the cd music will play consistently unless played uncompressed, in fact the rom I got the best results with was one with img/sub files (SLUS-00955) and is pretty stable (almost 700 meg though)

Thanks man :) Although, i'm not really a huge fan of the Roland Sound Canvas (especially the guitar sound). Anyways, i'll have a look at the PSX music. Although not 'authentic', it sounds more like 'real' music :)

On a sidenote, the SC55 pack features a track called 'bye bye american pie', and i can't help to think how much it sounds like a very well known Alice in Chains classic:

Source for downloadable music clips? Just 30 secs to a minute. Any good sources?

Sometimes you can find samples of theme songs from video games on Wikipedia. They're almost always are in Ogg format.

Here's an example of Supre Mario Bros. Theme:
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_Bros._theme
At the top right click on Menu from the Player options and then click the down arrow then right click on the file to Save As.
