@thelostsoul said in Secret of Mana 2 - Very strange blurry to sharp problem:

Is there a list for such games?

just google for interlaced games for the console in question. eg http://nerdlypleasures.blogspot.com/2017/10/the-rise-of-interlacing-in-video-game.html

following that link, i should correct myself in saying that SOM may use a higher horizontal resolution, rather than an interlaced mode. still, the effect is the same; your shader is doing some sort of per-pixel shadow mask, but the game changes the amount of horizontal pixels, so it's going to look different in those scenes.

And whats the best way to do exceptions and set different shader for single games?

      per game overrides.

I came across your shader while messing around with settings last night, and I just want to say that you did a phenomenal job. This is the shader I have been looking for and didn't even realize I was looking for it. Finally I can turn off integer scaling and get rid of all that pixel wobble.

I highly advise everyone to give this shader a shot. If you like that "perfect pixel" look but can't stand the artifacts that come with it, this is the shader for you.

A normal pi (not zero) supports analog over CVBS but its interlace so it will look shimmery.

I believe it may be possible to get it to output 25p over HDMI, convert to VGA, then convert to RGB on scart lead using a cable like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cable-VGA-RGB-ARCADEVGA-SCART-CON-JACK-SONIDO-EUROCONECTOR-JAMMA-ARCADE-/131577748414?hash=item1ea2a51bbe
