Hello! First, thanks @psyke83 for the great work on the ps3/ps4 controllers support in RetroPie.

What is the current status of the driver/procedure for latest RetroPie 4.4 on Debian Stretch to use ps3/ps4 controllers? Are the instructions in https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/PS3-Controller still the preferred method at the moment to use these controllers?

Should work, just depends if the pi recognizes it as a ps3 controller.

update your setup script and make sure it's on the latest version. I just compiled it using retropie_setup.sh and it worked fine.

@BuZz I deleted the driver though, even sudo purge sixad

Somehow got it to work. Not sure what I did different (b/c I'm pretty sure I did everything the same), but it's working now.

Since apparently this issue has never happened to anyone else ever, let my experience stand as testament that stubborn perseverance can pay off. Occasionally the blind persistence of attempting the same thing in the same way over and over again will yield the results we seek. So fear not!
