Well this is what happens when you realize Retropie doesn't yet support direct I2C connections.

Re-attached half of a nunchuck cable, going the Bluetooth route as it seems that's the only way to connect a Wii controller+accessory to Retropie.

If you want the dolphin emulator, install steam on your pc. Steam link on your pi. Add the dolphin emulator to steam. You can stream dolphin emulator from your pc via steam link to a raspberry pi. Steam link is in the expirimental section.

@aweiand unfortunately a lot of people have problems with using the wiimotes including myself. A couple people have stated they have it working without any real explanation of how. I just use a usb adaptor for the classic controllers

@kAnGeL88 Those emulators won't run on the current Pi hardware, so theyre not available on those builds.

I went through this a week or so ago. I got to the part about the pin also and left it a zeros. It gave me some error but if you go back to the setup menu and tell it to connect it should connect when you scan and hit the 2 buttons on the wii controller. Here is my thread on getting mine to work.
