    @Pifan - I pulled the trigger on it a couple weeks ago actually! It's going pretty well so far. I'm taking my time and documenting a worklog over at bitfix gaming.

    Thank you Redstoner and Pifan! Making ball tops was a long but satisfying learning process.

    @batman Thanks for saying hi :) I've had difficulty shipping internationally in the past, however last week I learned that padded envelopes under 4lbs are much less expensive to ship. Although assembled frames are out of the question smaller DIY frames could be possible but I haven't tried it yet. Email me cuddleburrito @ gmail and we can play with numbers to see what they would be.

    I was thinking about multiplayer, and the easiest would be to connect a second controller to the RPi's USB port. I've got so many questions regarding simultaneous button presses across GPIO and arduino emulated keyboards. I'll report back with my experiments.

    @caver01
    I can't get it to start.
    I have tried multiple versions of the game but still cannot make it start.
    I run "floob-retropie-attractmode-v03-02-MAY-2016" image with NO updates because when updating I got switched and unusable controller buttons and stick problems.

    I will try to do a clean retropie v3.7 with emulationstation only build for raspberry pi 2 and see if everything works. But this will take some days.

    Thanx :-)

    @hamak I think a thread about spinner controls is a good idea. I am not familiar with the games you mentioned, but I can add some ideas and discussion points:

    Arcade games with spinners and trackballs work best in AdvanceMAME in my opinion, simply because you have complete control over the devices using the config file and sensitivity/speed adjustments can be made using the MAME GUI (and they get saved). I haven't had much luck in other versions of MAME. Atari 2600--Up until now, I hadn't given it much consideration, but I am curious if I can get spinners working for the Atari 2600. I am fairly certain I could make this work using AdvanceMAME (mess) but I'd like to get lr-Stella using spinners if possible.

    @TheJuice Glad I could help. On a safety note, what I have done in a project like this is to get everything working before buttoning up the case and test it out. Plug it into a switchable power strip with it turned off, switch it on without touching anything on it. Then take a multimeter and ground one lead and touch any exposed metal to see if their is any voltage detected. Better to find out early than late!!

    Thanks everyone!

    I tried to make it work with just six buttons in total (plus 1P button) and so far I have never needed to plug a keyboard in. Hopefully I can keep it this way :)

    Those themes have not been updated to include the Arcade folder.

    Carbon is the default theme and is kept updated, and I believe the popularity of the Pixel theme has kept it updated as well. Not sure about any others.

    Thank you! I was very pleased with the art when I received it. The guys at Game On Grafix do agreat job at delivering high quality work. Now I just need an Iron Maiden theme for ES.

Contributions to the project are always appreciated, so if you would like to support us with a donation you can do so here.
