      @MacEns Try going into /boot/config.txt and remove the hash symbol at the start of config_hdmi_boost=4. This will increase the HDMI signal. Or swap out the cable. If it is displaying on and off and your TV is giving you that warning I would say that is your issue. This value can also be changed up or down.

      Well if anyone is interested, I figured out what was wrong.

      Somehow, something caused a file to be created in the configs/all folder called "videoresolutions.cfg" (or something to that effect, I forget the exact name) and it was telling Mame2003 to force a resolution of 320x240. I deleted the file and everything is fine again.

      @Shakz will try...

      Edit: Aha, there seems to ONLY be an issue with the N64 emulator. I had mapped by triggers and shoulder buttons wrong, so that is fixed now. It works on all emulators but the N64 one - which is unfortunate considering that's the one I use the most.

      Edit 2: It works now?! It just doesn't display the text that indicates that a save state has been saved / loaded / selected! There is still the fact that Majora's Mask lags when NPCs are in the area, but that's something I can live with for now. Thank you for your help!

      If lr-stella supported that stuff i would use it in a heartbeat.

      Yeah, lr-stella has a lot of non playable games due to it's lack of peripheral and console switch support. However, I've been very happy with the native version of Stella. I don't believe there's a single game that you can't get working in some way. There is a bug in the older version used in RetroPie, that causes the paddles to stick to the walls, but it's still preferable to the complete absence of control found in RetroArch.

      @dhlee20 said in How to load Retropie games in full screen with no black parts...:

      I bought a 2.8 inch 320x240 PiTFT display for the PiGRRL 2 project from Adafruit.

      When I load GBA games in Retropie, there are about 5mm of distance from the end of the screen in both sides.

      Can you guys tell me how to load the game in full screen? (whole screen with no black parts)

      <config.txt settings>

      #framebuffer_width=320
      #framebuffer_height=240

      #sdtv_mode=2
      #sdtv_aspect=3

      0_1476526536538_그림1.png

      Remove the # symbol from config.txt in these lines:

      #framebuffer_width=320
      #framebuffer_height=240

      See if that helps.

      true but if you choose a resolution from the drop down that matches the aspect ratio of your TV (eg. 1920x1080) no black bars :D

      In your retroarch.cfg add:

      video_smooth = true

      That did the job for me, I didn't like the blocks at all. This will smooth it out and it will look pretty nice. Just try it out. BTW I'm playing on a 40 inch tv (Sony KDL-40EX500)

      Hmm... Sorry, alas I don't :(
      I assume you used the inputs then to edit the right file.
      I'm assuming @Folly would know more - or searching for his posts might be able to help. After all, it seems he was the one who suggested that tip there.
      Hope you can sort things out!
      Best of luck.

      @Lyle_JP , Thanks for the reply!
      I'll have to wait until tonight to check it out.

      The TV is in fact 1360x768. But I believe I tried group=2, mode=39 last night , after checking some of the resolution modes on Pi's website. I don't believe I tried as high as 81 , though. I'll check it out this evening.
