      @nightflyer said in game reset:

      @Floob
      Thank you for your reaction.
      I will try to find that cfg file.
      You mean that i have to change the "H"
      In that line?

      Nightflyer.

      If your config is default, that line should have a # in front of it meaning it's commented out (will be ignored) and even if not, it would only be triggered if your controller was detected as a keyboard, anyway.

      More likely, your players have inadvertently triggered the reset with joystick hotkey combination (select + B) which is configured in your controller's autoconfig in:

      /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch/autoconfig/[device_name].cfg

      Look for a line in that file that says input_reset_btn=[button value] and either #comment or remove that line.

      If that doesn't sort you out, please post the full controller autoconfig profile and global retroarch.cfg (redact your cheevos password if it's in there) so we may review them.

      @mitu I tried it a couple of times before finally just giving up; uninstalled Linux and retropie and went with windows running Launchbox which started working immediately. Thanks for trying to help just wasn’t for me I suppose.

      @bbvbandit2 You just download the install 'image' and write it to the sdcard - it's explained in the docs.

      @arcadejacob Yes, and don't forget any themes you have installed in /etc/emulationstation/themes/ etc. that you may have "custom" installed, etc.

      The doc page on GBA has some info about each emulator for the system. To install a new package use the RetroPie-Setup menu entry - see https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Updating-RetroPie/#manage-packages.

      How to get a verbose log (though not sure if needed at this point, since the games are running) - see this page.

      @dalagoth The Pi 4 can't run PS2 games. The reason some themes have PS2 collections is because you can install RetroPie on x86 hardware, which can be powerful enough to run PS2 games.

      To format the drive in Windows 10 as a GPT disk:

      Right click on "This PC" and select Manage In the Computer Management window, select Disk Management toward the bottom of the left side If a message appears asking if you want to initialize the disk, you can do so and select GPT and click OK If the disk already has a format, you can right click under where is says Disk # and there should be an option to "Convert to GPT Disk"
      NOTE: This will erase anything you have on the disk currently. After the disk is set to GPT, you can right click the unallocated area (should be the whole disk) and choose "Create a New Simple Volume" Set the file system type and label if desired, this will format the drive

      Actually I just learned there was a port of Raspberry Pi OS for laptops. I'll get around to trying to Retropie on it.

      I'm experiencing the same thing as OP and the "fix" from the other thread didn't work.

      From the "read first", my answers:

      read forum rules ✅ search the docs ✅ search the forum ✅ I found two, the one OP reference and this one; like OP, trying the change outlined in the other post did not work raspberry pi power supply ✅ I've got an official power supply for my pi 4 official image ✅ I flashed the base retropie image and the experience has been otherwise quite smoth

      Run this from any platform folder on the RetroPie:

      cat gamelist.xml | grep '<name>' | cut -d '>' -f2 | cut -d '<' -f1 > titles.txt

      It will export all titles to titles.txt

      Update: I tried these instructions: https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/53408/automatically-connect-trusted-bluetooth-speaker/76288#76288

      Installed BaReinhard's repo and rebooted. I was able to connect to the AirPods when it launched back up and for a brief moment sound actually came through from youtube on the AirPods and I thought I may have fixed it, but then it cut out again after about two seconds. I'm getting the feeling that it connects and then gets disconnected almost immediately for some reason. Indeed, looking at bluetoothctl it seems to connect then disconnect to the devices immediately.

      E.g. it will say:

      sudo bluetoothctl
      Agent registered
      [CHG] Device D0:03:4B:ED:E5:20 Connected: yes
      [CHG] Device D0:03:4B:ED:E5:20 Connected: no
      [CHG] Device D0:03:4B:ED:E5:20 Connected: yes
      [CHG] Device D0:03:4B:ED:E5:20 Connected: no

      in quick succession, continuing on with this "yes/no" pattern. It does not seem able to maintain a connection.

      Don't know if that sheds any light on the problem.

      @radudek332 if the other games are loading but not Mario 64, you either have a bad rom or you should try a different core. I think Mupen64-next is the best
