@dankcushions hiya, I seam to be able to configure everything as far as I know and can test, I am actually thinking the game is not loading properly, how long should it take before the game start screen actually shows? and should I get the loading scribbles in the background?

@mitu It seems I left my remote connection open on the computer and some config files where deleted by mistake. Thank you for pointing me in the correct direction this fixed it!

I needed to install xpadneo. Thank you so very very much - I spent so long trying all the different combinations!!

@upjumptheboogie The Xbox S-X should be supported by the xpadneo driver - did you install it before pairing the controller ?

The PSCX2 team has completely removed the plugin System in the newest version. They stated that they will readd the ability to rebind the controller via gui in later updates.

You could have kept the newest version of PCSX2 using the method i stated above.
But good that you have found a way to get the old version of PCSX2 so it works for you again.

For anyone with a Raspberry Pi 4 that wants the default config file this is what you need:

This is not the default config.txt file, since the default doesn't have any picade overlay added or any rotate options (which is not supported on a Pi4 anyway). If you're looking for the default file, it can be extracted from the RetroPie image using 7Zip or by just mounting the .img file.

Looks to be an issue with the joystick selection you've made. Can you disable/remove the joystick selection tool and re-try to see if the gamepads are working in-game ?

Also, not saying that that's the case, but it is quite normal for games to reduce polygon count and drawing distance when rendering split screen. What's the atual behavior you're observing?

How are you using Skyscraper ? Are you running it from RetroPie-Setup or manually, via command line ?

OK I was a bit silly I had the HDMI plugged into the one away from the USB C power port. I have edited the line in config.txt to hdmi_group=1
hdmi_mode=16

All working fine now 👌
