    Same setup here.

It freezes when using PS3 controllers via bluetooth. no issue when using them over USB cable.

    @Rascas

Just to provide an update to the original post. After I started using 3.7 from a fresh install, GBA stopped freezing.

With regards to the CEC, I think something has gone wrong with my TV. So its not related to the Raspberry Pi 3.

@ThatClassyGaz said in 8bitdo not found on Rpi3:

It does work. Keep trying! I had the same issue with my FC30 Pro. As annoying as it sounds, just keep going through the 'back' and 'search' loop. Eventually it WILL find it. I had to try maybe 10 to 15 times before mine would pop up. :)

A more easy route to take is to first start bluetoothctl.

sudo bluetoothctl power on agent on scan on devices

    Start the controllers with start+r.
Keep pressing the different buttons until it shows up and don't shut down.

    Takes a minute or less.

You can also type devices a couple of times if you don't want to wait for bluetoothctl scanning to update.

After the controllers are recognized quit bluetoothctl and start Retropie-Setup now they will show from the start and you don't have to try 10-15 times.

    Have you updated RetroPie-Setup-Script?
Changed CPU Governor to Performance in Retropie Setup?

And finally if that don't work have a look here

Yeah it might be a feature someday like PiPlay. You can also modify /etc/emulationstation/es_systems.cfg. For each system you want to comment out put a <!-- before <system>and <--after </system>. That will comment out that whole emulator from showing up in you list. Example below for the Apple II.

    <!-- <system> <name>apple2</name> <fullname>Apple II</fullname> <path>/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/apple2</path> <extension>.sh .SH</extension> <command>/opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh 0 _SYS_ apple2 %ROM%</command> <platform>apple2</platform> <theme>apple2</theme> </system> <--

    Hi:

I have that setup, everything seems to work fine, i'm using ps3 controllers and they work well.

Only issue is when playing games like outrun, i would like to used analog stick instead of buttons for turning.

I have tried to iused "tab" key to change buttons but no luck. what cna I do to change buttons mapping inside games?

Regards and thank you for your time.

solved... emulation station cant detect joypad with no buttons, you need to use joypad with at least 1 button for detect.

and daphne_log.txt file wasn't found because there was -nolog in lair.command file..
    just a noobs error! :)
