@Merlin3D Sure, but I don't see how it helps solving this problem. I can download the source without issues and the project's site is up and running - it's no a source availability issue.

So essentially to get this to work I would have to compile a version of the kernal with the PanFrost files included.

I'm thinking that this would be easier, considering my linux-fu is scraping by level, to go with an actual pi or something like an orange pi.

At least it works for my original purpose for a 3D printer were everything is done via ssh or web interface.

@satella You can still use vulkan for the other cores using your previous config by editing /opt/retropie/configs/gc/retroarch.cfg / /opt/retropie/configs/wii/retroarch.cfg. Add a line (near the beginning of the file) to set the gl / glcore video driver in the file with:

video_driver = "gl"

so that video driver is used only for the gc and wii systems.

i think the path for kodi is this /opt/retropie/ports

@mitu Oh understood on that front. As I mentioned above, I made a back up IMG file before wiping the retropie and reinstalling. I am just trying to figure out how I can access the ROMs on there. Because I think they are still there - the IMG file is 250GB...I just couldnt use it to actually install retropie because when I tried, I was running into these issues. Thats why I went down the path of a fresh install and trying to reaccess the ROMs in the backup file.

The issue was in retroarch.cfg. I replaced it by the rp-dist version and it solved the problem!

@mitu Thank you for looking into it. If a newer gcc is indeed the only solution, does that mean that bullseye would be needed and buster is out of the question?

Have you tried using a wpa_supplicant.conf file? In retropie docs, see “Connecting to WiFi Without a Keyboard”. Works great on my Gpi. You shld probably remove your existing WiFi config before trying it.

@bene112 For a chance of real support, please provide the information requested here in the sticky. Apart from that, N64 emulation is way more demanding then an oldschooler like the snes or nes and even on a pi4 somewhat troublesome.

EDIT: should be fixed now, just need an update to RetroPie-Script to fix the upgrade issue.

I have managed to edit the video delay in the theme.xml file.
There's an option for the position of the image and video as well.
I'm going to experiment with that.

@Manukan Ahoy .. I see that the topic is old, but i have going back and forth trying to fix the crash that occurred on my Rp48gb .. I have 2 projects mem card with retropie and o e with emulationstation...
The first works great no problems .. But the second crashes after the boot... I have tried everything that is here and there (all tricks and tips) but with no results...
Finally i decide to try something random that i didnt saw in any forum - ** i have connected the raspberry pi to another tv (the main one was 55in, the second one is 10in and for my surprise it runs without problem)**

So i have no idea did i discovered the hot water... But at least that can save a few ours of pointless wandering around the forums.

If there is fix for thah to be ok with higher resolution so it wont crashes on 55in tv let me know, thanks !
