      @kiro
      On a quick test, it looks good.
      Now I have to go into the details.
      A big thank-you

      @nicole After writing the Retropie image to the SD card, 2 partitions will be created into the card, the first one (256 MB) containing boot files and configurations for the raspberry pi, the second one, will handle the Linux operating system which Retropie works from within. The Retropie partition is unreadable by Windows.

      After booting the raspberry pi with the SD card, Retropie will expand the second partition to ensure the entire available space from the card is ready. This is done only once the first time you turn on the raspberry pi with the card. Follow the steps on the screen.

      Please take a look at https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/

      If you need to recover your SD card as it was before writing the image, please use:

      I feel like such a fool as I downloaded them as .exe files and not the ROM files. It works now!

      There are no ROMs that are .exe files (unless we are talking about old dos games) make sure to delete those .exe files they are very likely to be viruses/spyware 😬

      @mitu yep I see that now, the site I found didn't say anything about ROMs. But it's quite clear the op bought a pre-loaded system for sure.

      Hello Florian,

      I just wanted to share that I have managed to swap the cooked component for a new one, and it’s fixed the powerblock back to working order.

      Thanks for your help. Managed to desolder the old one with some flux, desolder wick and some patience. Getting the new one in was easier than expected.

      You need to copy the ROM folders contents to your PC or a USB stick, then transfer them over to the new image as you did initially. You might have to write your backup image back to the card in order to copy the ROMs.

      Hi,
      I actually followed a guide to upgrade to stretch and deploy 4.4 over my existing setup. All looks to be running well.
