    @Electromaster64

    I am trying to get rid of the start+select=exit hotkey

    So do you want to disable the "Hotkey" function all together?

    input_exit_emulator_btn = 8

    And you want it to exit the RetroArch emulator when you press button #8 on your generic USB controllers?

    I think you have to set the hotkey to null so try added this to your retroarch.cfg

    input_enable_hotkey_btn = "nul"

    If that doesn't work also add this:

    input_enable_hotkey = "nul"
  • Unbelievable - I just lost my Select key mapping again :-(

    @biglouieuk Only the last 3 days on this, and within moments of posting, I find thre answer myself.

    For others finding this...default.cfg IS in mame libretro, you can delete that and it will reset the keys for the TAB and remap when in the Mame game.

    To do this for MAME4ALL, you need to find the default.cfg for mame4all

    I found it in /opt/retropie/configs/mame-mame4all/cfg

    Delete and you old maps come back for you to destroy again at will..

    Hope this helps someone.

    @BuZz I already own a Rpi3 but as C1 is more powerfull i wanted to give it a try. I Already tried Lakka once but it misses the emulationstation front end and there lot of tool missing compared to RetroPie

    I only wished there was an already build image for C1 like the one for RPI but it appears to be in my dreams.
    So i'll stop posting here and open a new thread with the proper information.

    Thanks for helping me it been beyond my expectation so far :)

    @Cadburylion said in 4 player support for SNES on RetroPie Zero:

    The only games I care to get 4 player support working for is for the Bomberman series on SNES.

    You took the words right outta my mouth Cadburylion. I have the exact same problem, someone please help! I have 3 poor... sad... helpless ... little kids who want to play 4 player Bomberman with their Dad.

    @gautchh Attach and config a keyboard in ES, go into the emulator of your choice and enter the rgui menu. There you can navigate to Settings, Input and configure your controller. Make sure the right controller-device is selected and try bind all.

    If your controllername does not show up increase the number of players (or devices) under Input and try again.

    Another way to get your controller working properly is using xboxdrv, which emulates an xbox controller and makes mapping it in games easier.

    @Rion
    That did the trick! I feel kinda silly. It froze the first time I messed with it, so I didn't think to try it again. Bumping it up to 40 or 60hz, saving the game override, and resetting completely fixed a super slow laggy part.

    I'm curious to know how this works.

    Hi,

    I recently managed to get a network share from my PC set up on my Pi:
    My share is on an external hard drive attached to my PC - E:/RetroPieShare - inside this I copied 4 folders from my pi (home/pi/RetroPie - this will copy all the files on your SD card to the external hard drive on your PC :
    0_1486470761915_1.png

    I then edited the fstab file:
    0_1486471142739_3.png

    like this:
    0_1486471548395_4.png

    The next bit was key: the path to the share on the external hard drive in fstab must match the properties shown in windows highlighted in blue - (remember to change the \ to / in the fstab file):
    0_1486471667567_5.png

    (Also remember to share this folder)
    I can now add roms into the roms folder on the external hard drive & they appear in the home/pi/Retropie/roms folder which should appear in Emulation Station

  • Can someone post their es_settings.cfg file?

    @AlexMurphy The sort order for the roms, it wasn't working but I have a feeling it has to do with the fact a lot of my roms are in subfolders.

    Hello Oscar,
    Firstly I can tell that you didn't read the rules just by reading to your post. Please give it a look : https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first and edit your post accordingly if you want more people to answer to you.

    Secondly, do you even see the big rainbow ish screen when your raspberry boot up ?

    Ok - I've got SOTN basically playable.

    Using the retroarch overlay config GUI (select+X in game) I set:
    frameskip to 1
    custom viewport width 1440 (x3)
    custom viewport height 816 (x3)
    integer scale on

    other settings:
    hw biliner filtering - turning this to off makes the game look significantly better on my big flatscreen from apx 3 meters away, but doesn't seem to impact performance (disclaimer that I prefer a pixelated look to a blurred look for my scalers)

    other observations:
    loading savestates seems unstable until loading a regular game save. not sure if its related to my settings changes or not.
