For who is interested, I have build Mesa 22.0.1, SDL 2.0.20 and EmulationStation from source code on latest Raspberry Pi OS Lite and all work as expected (Full KMS and other stuff)

You may try starting the game with mame2003-plus (mame2003 might also work) and use the Mame mapping menu (hit Tab on an attached keyboard) for the game. The up/down movements of the gun are mapped to a couple of Paddle inputs, which you can assign to the 2nd joystick of the player.

@barbudreadmon Assuming you are referring to the Turbo setting under P1 control mappings (I'm not in front of it and don't recall the exact name), I have tried setting that to match the one in the turbo menu. No success there.

No, I didn't say that. Skyscraper needs 2 passes to actually generate a gamelist

first run to do the scraping from the scraping site and save it into the cache (this is where it saves the artwork as a 'random numbers/letters' file, the cache). The forcefilename flag has no effect here. 2nd run to generate the gamelist from the cache - this is where you can use forcefilename flag.

I suggest you take a look again at Skyscraper's docs and see how it should be used.

The gamepad configuration is fine, there must be something in the configuration for RetroArch that's not correct.
Can you run a game with verbose logging post the resulting log file (/dev/shm/runcommand.log) on pastebin.com ?

Have you tried installing the Nintendo Switch controller drivers as mentioned in the Docs page?

The sensitivity / input range without that driver is not enough to recreate the full tilt range of N64 sticks.

Note that enabling the BIOS boot logo may break some games, that's why is disabled by default by the pcsx_rearmed core.

We don't support 3rd party images (I assume by teister os you mean Twister OS ?) nor Berryboot.
Install from the image from retropie.org.uk/download on a SD card following the instructions from the docs and you shouldn't have any issues.

@BuZz OK.I've tried to dynamically change the DNS server to visit github.com and successfully installed retropie on Ubuntu(amd64).Maybe I just need to post a solution on local forums to instruct others.

Hey everyone, im having similar issues, ok so first this first im on rpi4 latest retropie 4.8.

This was the only close issue i could find.

The thing i am having is my gamepad and keyboard wont work when adding XINIT to yabasanshiro emulator.cfg i tested running retropie on desktop but gets hot so i than thought why not reverse it, now all games should be running from vulkan from my understanding and run great but notging works i have to reboot my pi from ssh.

Could this issue be the same for fullscreen or maybe i need to point my config to my key2map for yabasanshiro.
