    @mitu

I gave that a try and neither screen would boot up. On my monitor it was showing no input detected. I tried both hdmi ports as well. I was able to ssh into it with no problems so i know it booted up fully.

this sounds a lot like the problems i am having. i have not moved to UAE yet.
seeing that they said Amiberry was the easiest one to setup.

Problems with it after getting it all worked out and setup then getting the Amiberry installed with the installer "Manage optional Packages" so now have Amiga folder showing up to put the games .LHA E:\retropie\roms\amiga with a jump drive
and putting the kickstart files in the jump drive E:\retropie\BIOS
so all seems good i looked at the files on the Pi and they seem to have copied over good and in the place it said they should be is there another place to put them???

but when i try and run a game.

it goes to a black screen and then winks back to the pick a game screen.
if i keep clicking on the A key it loads up a screen "System: Amiga" asking to select "default emulator" ES, ER,
    VE, FE, FR, X, Q.
so when looking "ER" at Bios the names to not match the ones i uploaded. thinking it would be named the same as the ones uploaded.
not sure if this is the problem. do i need to do something other than just putting them in that folder???
(( Please help)) i seen something that the updater is not using the newest one will start looking at that.

my system is a Raspberry Pi3 B+ in the USA.
    Hisense 4 K HDMI tv
XBox corded controller. Keyboard and mouse.
have been doing like the video said using the USB jump drive to move files over. "Raspberry Pi 4 Retropie - Amiberry Setup MikeyGRetro"
and use many other videos to help with setting up Retropie on the Raspberry Pi 3b+ "RetroPie 4.8 Setup and Install Guide for the Raspberry Pi" Wagner's TechTalk.

i have had UAE for Droid on my phone for 10 years i think. with the Amiga forever Kickstarts. but made a cool 3D printed Amiga case for my Pi 3b+ and wanted something i could use on the TV and the kids could play.
i do have Amibian working on another flash card on the Pi 3+ but just not as easy to use as the videos said RetroPie is. and this would be good. have seen some info on the site saying need to use the numerical updater seeing the auto one is not working right??

@RapidEdwin08 Man, did that ever do the trick! Worked right out of the box! No typing out anything in DOS to start or anything! Thanks!

Now, I just have to read the manual and find what the controls are. I believe I flew back to England during my first mission. :)

@mitu Yes. I did both. The virtual Keyboard does not have the HELP button for some reason. and yes, i have tried so many things. lol.

If anyone would like to try it in their lr-Hatari or Hatari just to get to the control screen in game, please i would love to see if anyone can do it!

    everyone be well.

@mitu said in Retroarch audio DSP:

Indeed, RetroPie's RetroArch installation doesn't include any filters, audio or video.

Is it possible to support Retroarch DSP audio plugins in Retropie? Or is there something I could do to manually add the required audio libraries?

We could add it in a new RetroArch version, they occupy little space.

That would be great! Thanks for considering it.

I've have followed your instructions for manual compilation and they worked great! Chiptune enhance and lowpass filter really enhance old games soundtracks!

    Hello!

I used the mass add in lr-scummvm.
Before that i had made matching svm files , and they were updated by the mass add.
However loading games directly from emulationstation doesn't work, it just loads lr-scummvm and says game not found.
If I launch from within lr-scummvm it works fine.
I checked the content of the svm file for the game The 7th Guest, and it had the content 'The7thGuest' which does not match the game id listed here https://www.scummvm.org/compatibility which ought to be 't7g'.
I tried to change the content of the svm file to the id from the list above but same result..
Not really sure how to proceed from here, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated! :)

@sugarfree it changes line 950 below in runcommand.sh's matchbox parameters.

If it's XINIT-WMC the window opens with a cursor visible. XINIT-WM it hides the cursor

    https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/blob/master/scriptmodules/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh

Totally off topic, I'm debating experimenting and seeing if I can use Labwc as the window manager instead seeing as X11 isn't as efficient and outdated. You can even see it in things like the Ocarina or Majora's Mask PC Ports, using matchbox it's slower in the title menu than if I use a different window manager.

I doubt it'd affect dolphin much as most of the slowdowns it feels are caused by certain effects that the Vulkan or opengl drivers on raspberry pi don't have a handle on

@DeMoN3 You should have opened a separate topic. While your setup may be similar to the original poster's setup, it's not the same problem. To answer to your question - you need to increase the resolution to get a better picture, the 240p you have won't work very well with ES.

@sleve_mcdichael Ah, I uninstalled and re-installed from binary. That did the trick. I must have gummed something up while rebuilding this pi.

    Installing Stella was the trick.
    Thank you for your help.
I know she's going to enjoy playing River Raid with the correct kind of controller.

my question is how or where do i make the changes in the config.txt to enable PWM on the required pins from the guide i am trying to follow?

Just add a line at the end of the existing config.txt with the required dtoverlay option. Lines beginning with # are just comments and will be ignored by the Pi bootloader.

@mbernier said in Problem with XPAD since latest update:

When the upstream repository will be fixed, is there anything we will need to do or it will be fully transparent ?

Just a regular update will be enough, but it's not going to be mandatory.
