@mitu Thank you. I had read that guide several times. I can’t believe I overlooked that. I rebuilt a full non merged set with clrmamepro and then used the same batchfile I mentioned earlier. Now it works.

Reading all many posts here, i still dont know how to get m,y CPS games to show up..

Please don't bump old topics. As to where to put the arcade games - the arcade folder, as you would have known if you'd have look in the documentation. And no, just pointing at the docs is not 'gatekeeping'.

@markwkidd said in I forked 2 arcade emulator cores and added many hacks from HBMAME.:

We've discussed in mame2003-plus that it would be good to only add hacks and homebrews that bring meaningful changes from the versions of games that are already supported.

Some games seem to have dozens and dozens of different hacks that only make minor changes like enabling a certain cheat. That is what we realized when we were working together before.

In other words, we're willing to add 3 or 4 hacked versions of a game -- if the hacks are interesting -- but not 20 or 40.

If there are some "Best of HBMAME" hacks and homebrews in your fork that are compatible with mame2003-plus then let's try to work together to add them.

For now I spend most of my time trying to port all hacks from HBMAME of PC to my HBMAME2003 Plus and M.B.A mini Plus since we have no port of HBMAME for SBC. I have ported about 2 thousands of hacks from HBMAME. And I also decrypt and offer some hacks from a commerical emulator named YouJu. Maybe later when I am free I will try to choose some valuable hacks and add them to MAME2003 plus.

Yeah you can. Like the guy above says, if you use FBA you can set diagnostics mode in the Retroarch GUI and change a number of options using it, like turbo speed, demo sounds etc.

I use lr-fbalpha for all my NeoGeo, CPS (i put all into one CPS generic system) and any other arcade game.
You just need the v0.2.97.39 rom set and you're good. I never bothered with MAME.

There is a 25GB package out there somewhere which contains 1500+ arcade roms (NeoGeo, CPS and lot, lot more.. )(all v0.2.97.39) and a whole bunch of console games (Coleco, GameGear, MegaDrive, MasterSystem, MSX, PC-Engine, SG-1000) and screenshots and title screenshots and a complete bios package.

@windjammersfan you can do this yourself. I have my cps folder (really all capcom games fba supports) then you can add more entries in es_systems.cfg to have another system on the main screen. I actually have 2 cps folder. 1 for all 6 button games and one for everything else plus the first street fighter. The reason why is even though it is a libretro emulator i am using, the controllers have to be mapped manually to make any sense. And the button layout is different for 6 button fighting games and everything else
