      @michel30
      hello, I'm a noobie.
      But I have a question:
      Are you saying you have a code that will constantly play a mp3 file and play in the background and will continue to play while you do other things in the background
      using pygame?

      I got mine to play when i boot up the raspberry pi but, as soon as I do something like start my MAIN.py the mp3 stops playing: and I need it to KEEP PLAYING?
      Can you help?
      Thank you?

      I've updated OSK to be flush with RetroPie's master branch. It'll compile now. You can grab it from my github

      I'm very interested in OSK. That's really the only feature I wish ES had. How do I set this up?

      @chicuelo All those system descriptions are a nice touch. Did you write those all out by hand, or scrap and compile them somehow?

      I am just curious but what is the progress right now with RetroPie for the Pi 4 at the moment and sorry for asking just waiting for a build of it first before i would buy the Pi 4 and do you guys think the 2gb model would be more than enough as well?

      There's no ETA as far as a release or updates beyond the github that have been provided. I doubt you will get a different answer from the Retropie team. You can follow the github: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/issues/2749

      Most people view 2 GB as more than enough to run emulators and emulationstation proper. I personally jumped for the 4 GB as to be ahead of any changes.

      Oh ok well i wanted to buy the 4gb model but here in Canada it is a little much plus for certain arcades games i want to try out in my mind i tend to think 2gb would be enough because the first game i want to test out for sure is Killer instinct 1 and 2.

      I know this topic is old, but I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.

      I'm trying to install the localized EmulationStation on an old Raspberry Pi model 1B board.

      However, I would like to install with Retropie version 4.3 (Debian 8 "Jessie"), because this version it runs much better on the Pi 1B model.

      I've been using the old link (https://github.com/flyinghead/EmulationStation) but to no avail

      Below are the steps I am following:

      Note 1* Updated the file "/etc/apt/sources.list" legacy path (https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=237469)
      OK

      Note 2** Update existing APT packages: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
      OK

      Note 3*** Installing the following issues (rapidjson-dev)
      wget http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/r/rapidjson/rapidjson-dev_1.1.0+dfsg2-7.1_all.deb
      sudo dpkg -i rapidjson-dev_1.1.0+dfsg2-7.1_all.deb
      OK

      Resolve dependencies of libraries Localized EmulationStation
      OK

      Create a clone from GitHub: (git clone --recursive https://github.com/flyinghead/EmulationStation.git)
      OK

      Compile Localized EmulationStation
      cd /home/pi/EmulationStation
      mkdir build
      cd build
      cmake ..
      make
      OK

      Testing Localized EmulationStation:
      cd /home/pi/EmulationStation
      LANG=pt_BR.UTF8 ./emulationstation
      OK

      Install Localized EmulationStation
      cd /home/pi/EmulationStation
      sudo cp ./emulationstation /opt/retropie/supplementary/emulationstation/
      sudo cp -r locale /opt/retropie/supplementary/emulationstation/
      OK

      Run Localized EmulationStation
      Error message
      lvl0: Error - File type unknown!
      emulationstation: /home/pi/EmulationStation/es-core/src/resources/Font.cpp:17: Font::FontFace::FontFace(ResourceData&&, int): Assertion `!err' failed.
      Aborted

      Can I have any solution to successfully install localized ES in Retropie version 4.3?

      For those of you looking for an easy way to install the libretro core, I've created a script in RetroPie-Extra for it: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/zerojay/RetroPie-Extra/master/scriptmodules/libretrocores/lr-freej2me.sh

      Some of the first games I ever worked on were these J2ME games and it's been fun to play them again a bit.

      Hey, no forget 1080p on a RPi3 - you will get it to work on a RPi4.

      The MPEG2 license has no effect as libmpeg2 libraries are used and no mmal or v4l/v4l2 are in use.

      Here is a reference if you are interested.
      https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?p=1947760

      SD only video on the RPi3 I'm afraid.

      @cyperghost Hi, Thank you for your great work with this script, but I have the Issue with the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W.
      I have installed you script and I have Connectet to Pin 5 (GPIO3) and GND a momentary switch. I also preformed the comamnd:

      raspi-gpio set PIN3 ip pu

      The shut down sequenze works fine but the zero dosn't power up again.
      Is this a zero related issue?

      raspi-gpio get

      returns:
      GPIO 3: level=1 fsel=0 func=INPUT

      Best Regards

      Yeah, I will add a barrel jack later on my new Famicom case. This one is not the best looking work.
      I still got 3 Famicoms around to bleach and mod. I broke not needed pieces out with a pench tool which doesn't look nice I should buy a Dremel or similar for better results.

      Regarding the fan, I haven't encountered any issues thus far. My RPi is nice and cool inside the Famicom.

      I think we should be able to make extra carousels, on all of the views and also to use it for other images such as metadata, like marquees, or md_images.

      Also an origin type function for the carousel would make the variety of nice looking carousels go up.
