@cjohnson26 the Pie will boot and the function of these few lines are just to ask status for a sensor after the has booted.
But for your idea to work as on off switch for booting up a device this also works but you do not need a code or something. Just connect the hall effect sensor like a switch on a power device like the Mausberry or a Pimoroni on off SHIM and it will act like a button press. For switching of you need to ask status then you can use that code.

@mitu Installing the dependancies listed on the link you provided seems to gave done the trick. Thanks so much!

For those who are curious, I ran the following command as suggested by the Dolphin installation page (cut and pasted here for your convenience).

      sudo apt install cmake pkg-config git libao-dev libasound2-dev libavcodec-dev libavformat-dev libbluetooth-dev libenet-dev libgtk2.0-dev liblzo2-dev libminiupnpc-dev libopenal-dev libpulse-dev libreadline-dev libsfml-dev libsoil-dev libsoundtouch-dev libswscale-dev libusb-1.0-0-dev libwxbase3.0-dev libwxgtk3.0-dev libxext-dev libxrandr-dev portaudio19-dev zlib1g-dev libudev-dev libevdev-dev "libpolarssl-dev|libmbedtls-dev" libcurl4-openssl-dev libegl1-mesa-dev libpng-dev qtbase5-private-dev

Thank you for your responses. Popped out for a couple of hours, and it seemed to have completed. This ties in with the 3-4 hours stated above

Okay! Thanks very much, I indeed noticed it only could be installed from binaries! So I'll try that!
If I install it through that will I be able to use it through the EmulationStation?
Is there any documentation? I've something about configuration file editting..

@Dochartaigh Is this the forum you're posting on?

      http://www.chronocrash.com/forum/index.php?board=24.0

Yes, that's the forum I posted on. Here's my post.

@backstander said in Streets of Rage Remake (SoRR) - How to SAVE, and any OpenBOR info?:

@enderandrew that's interesting! Have you had a chance to try this?

So basically they said to try this:

try deleting the existing .CFG files for a game and run it again so you get default settings

I don't have a PC to test on unfortunately (well, I do, kinda but I don't feed like formatting a USB stick, putting my Windows bootcamp image on it, and booting up my Mac in Windows anytime soon ;(

But the biggest problem the guys at Chronocrash told me is the files (besides the config and .PAK data file the fix you posted deals with) - like the actually .exe file (for lack of a better word) are built on an extremely old OpenBOR engine - so NONE of the new (or even years old it sounds like) .PAK's will run on it (if I understood them correctly). If it was newer I would definitely go through the trouble of trying this fix out on a PC but I'm pretty sure the base engine it's WAY too old to run any of their cooler new games (and the ones I'm playing in DOS from around 2004 are pretty limited to be honest...not enjoying them much).

I believe BuZz, one of the moderators here, is working on a recent OpenBOR build for the Pi but still has some kinks to work out.

@ChristopherLeo installing from source is a waste of time. Always use binaries. Very rarely will you ever need to build from source

      @jrmymllr said in ti99sim on 4.0.2:

I installed a few optional emulators such as jzintv, and those had binaries. But I noticed the experimental emulators, such as ti99sim, only lists source. Does this indeed mean it must be compiled, and if so, are there any instructions on how to do this?

just select it as normal and it will compile.
