@jnbridges and you could always use something like this to get that arcade sound you were talking about.

This is the last game I want to add onto the Ports section before I map the rest of these games to the joysticks I have (8-Bitdo and the Xbox 360). After that, I'll save this image of everything I got working on here. I'll move onto the Pi5 once that is done. If it doesn't work out, I'll just delete Lord of Destruction and add that once that gets ironed out.

I was able to get the Rise of the Triad working (the wrong scriptmodule was in the RetroPie-Setup section for some reason, so I copied the updated one there), but from what I read a few posts ago, joystick controls don't seem to work. The GL port of Hexen 2 also gave me a small problem, but I found a missing pak3.pak file and it works perfectly now.

      Off Topic:
Komani code works with this game.
Just enter on the MAIN MENU, with the cursor on the first option.

Konami code: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B,A.

I think I was the first to discover this!!!🀐🀐🀐🀐

@sleve_mcdichael said in Hide Systems - Only Keep Custom Collections?:

If you use one "all games" system you won't need the "all games" collection but if you did use it, they would all just say [ALL]

That's true, but this can be disabled under 'Game Collection Settings'. There is an option in there to turn off 'Show System Name in Collections'.

      Thanks for your help.

@sirhenrythe5th I had not considered this either. And yes, a very cool fact! If I remember correctly that's actually what got me in to the game in the first place after watching an Atari doc. Thank you for the ideas.

@zenoxio if you rebooted the copying will stop. It only copies if the retropie-mount folder is empty.

I have now successfully ported to an RPI4.
Some more directories had to be copied.
      /etc/emulationstation (All belongs to root)
      /home/pi (All owner Pi)
/opt/retropie (Pi is the owner of configs, the rest belongs to root)
Additionally Dosbox had to be updated and the hotkeys had to be redefined.
Furthermore, the HDMI scan line generator had to be supplied externally with 5V (the RPI3 managed the power supply itself).

Can you add more details about your system - as explained in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first ?

Did you follow https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Transferring-Roms/#usb-stick to transfer your ROM file(s) ?

@REK607 oh, was there another version of it? I had actually bought both of these on Steam in the past, but I assumed they'd be the same.

I do love Micro Mages, and the PICO-8 also has a fair bit of fun games there which, if it'd help, I could gladly put together a list for. I just never saw a lot of interest in it around here - which, to be fair, isn't surprising given that it's quite niche :)

If you are using the controller wired, it is probably in X-Input mode. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the xpad driver through RetroPie-Setup -> Manage Packages -> Manage Drivers, then rebooting the Pi once you are done.

      Thank you for replying @mitu

I mean the folders that store the game art, video snaps and wheel art.

Leave them on the SD card then change the metadata in the gamelist.xml file to point to the Roms folder on the SD card.

      Regards

I just finished Operencia: The Stolen Sun yesterday after playing it for approx. 2-3 months.

It's a "modern homage to classic first-person dungeon-crawlers" like Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder, or the late Legend of Grimlock, but with a turn-based combat system that's more reminiscent of titles like the original Bard's Tale trilogy.

Surprisingly, this is the first RPG of the hungarian development studio Zen Studios. They're mostly known for their Pinball simulation games. Nonetheless, they've created a breathtakingly beautiful, entertaining game whose more or less typical story is based on the hungarian folklore, which I was absolutely unfamiliar with, making it a refreshingly unique experience for a western european like me.

The Windows version of Operencia is on GOG sale right now with 60% off of both its versions (same game with or without goodies).

Thanks for the fabulous ride, Zen Studios!

@shavecat I have never tried those two games. But I noticed big performance boost after I overclocked my PI. I have GoldenEye installed, but never played jet. Maybe I will try it today and let you know.

Please don't post the same topic in different categories - once is enough, the forum is not that large.

We don't offer support for downloading ROMs - it's in the forum rules https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/2/forum-rules.
