      Please suggest me some ideas

      I typed "retropie joystick gpio" on google and it gave me good results. I'm sure you can do it too.

      Alternatively, in uae4arm you could use xboxdrv and map Start as KEY_F12 and Select as KEY_Q, which would give you the desired effect.

      @meleu Thank you for your response. I will try that version.

      Even though that solution can help me, I would like to know if anyone has experienced the same issue with the second joystick in Mame4all. There should be a lot of gamers using two arcade joysticks connected to a Raspberry.

      It is like there is no driver for the second stick (remember that the buttons work fine) only in Mame4all, since it works perfectly in all emulators, including Advance Mame. It seems incredible, but I promise that's how it is.

      Thanks

      Thanks a lot, this did end up solving my problem! The power function of the ControlBlock was working fine and my soldering wasn't too horrible, so I was hoping it was something simple.

      This is mine so far, just testing it now. For some reason on this new build though games take forever now to load, even with warp mode on:

      Apparently it was a problem with the .bak file for my controller located at /opt/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/. Deleting it solved the whole situation. I noticed that the script module is configured to ignore it, but I thought it might not be for some reason and sure enough it paid off. A new .bak has even been created and is not throwing Mupen64plus off, so I assume it was a fluke of some kind.

      I was adding them incorrectly. I took the syntax examples from retroarch.cfg which only defines keyboard keys. To add joystick buttons, _btn must be appended as seen below.

      input_screenshot_btn = "0" input_pause_toggle_btn = "2"

      Just to mention it here as well :-) The ControlBlock allows to directly connect arcade controls (which are mapped to gamepads) for two players as well as a power switch functionality to safely switch on and off the raspberry pi.

      @renaud if you go into settings management and save stuff it should save and work on every game.

      Fixed my problem. Figured I'd post the resolution in the event that somebody else inevitably has the same issue. gunnarh's posted solution was right. It's not an issue of the multiple joysticks. It's actually the sketch. You need to use the bounce library, like was used in gunnarh's link. Without it, the buttons don't get recognized properly within retropie. I went as far as to edit the usb_desc.h for the teensyduino libary to only have it expose the joystick, and nothing more. That worked for only having a single joystick show up, but the button issue remained. It wasn't until I utilized the Bounce library, that my button presses behaved as I expected.
