@bryan617 said in Nested ROM folders and box art:

Is there any way to have the box art for NES and SNES show up without taking the ROMs out of their nested folders and placing them directly in their system folder?

Short answer - no. The folder doesn't have box art, so it's normal you're seeing the boxartonly when entering the folder and looking at the actual ROM.

But don't forget to set the default emulator of arcade to lr-mame2003-plus via the runcommand menu.

Well I guess I got this figured out and on the way learned WHAT NOT TO DO lol.

Now to figure out this mausberry bit so I can get the switches to behave how I would like.....

Power = Power on and proper shutdown when powered on

Reset = when in emulation reset back to retropie gui/main screen, when at retropie main screen and reset is hit a proper reset is performed

Keep your eyes peeled for another noon post, because I've read a lot about these mausberry switches and am quite lost how to get the performance I would like.

I will make another thread for that tho as its completely off topic for this one.

Another option to transfer files is to use scp from the command line. You'll need to enable ssh on your pi through the retropie setup to do this. Good luck!

      (1) Is your Pie on the same network as your computer?

      (2) What username and password are you using for WinSCP? It should be username: pi password: raspberry

      (3) The Host name on WinSCP should be the IP address of your Pie... (You can find that by using the ShowIP function located in the RetropieConfiguration area...

      (4) You can also use a Windows 'file explorer' window to talk to the RP by typing in // IP address (making sure it is recognizing it as a network instruction, and not a website)

      (5) Install RetroPieManager (one of my favorite) by following the video below. It lets you access via your webrowser, by putting in the IP address followed by :8000 . It's pretty slick, and let's you know if the files you uploaded are compatible in those folders. Only issue with it is it doesn't quite work well will large files (500mb+)

I have been sending roms over my network using the network share (SMB) that is built into RPi. If you are on windows, go to windows explorer and click on Network. In there you should see all your networked machines that are sharing. RETROPIE should be one of them. once you are there, navigate to the roms folder and you can drag and drop to your hearts content. :)

your sdram overclocks could cause sd corruption too i think. possibly the overvoltage also. personally i'd remove all forms of overclocking if you're seeing corruption/instability.

Oh man, this is the second time in one week someone asked this question. Takes like 2 seconds on YouTube to find those sites man.
