      @mitu Alright, moved those over and everything seems good! Only issue I'm running into is that in any game I get a pop up that says "✔️ USB Gamepad (121/17) not configured" even though I moved over the config for the same controller.

      You could try to recover them with testdisk or photorec (don't be deceived by the latter's name, it can restore countless file types), but the best way to prevent data loss would be backups on a regular basis.

      Testdisk and photorec are both part of the same installation package testdisk. Its installation is explained in the first link above.

      @MyFartSoTart As I said in my last post, I'd recommend to access RetroPie via network either using Samba or SSH. This way, you can access all of RetroPie's files instead of only those that Windows can read.

      Besides that, for small tasks like only some config edits or file operations, you can just drop to RetroPies command shell by pressing F4 in Emulation Station, and then enter mc to start the text-based file manager Midnight Commander. You can use it to navigate RetroPie's file system, view text files by pressing F3 or edit them with F4. See here for a quick user guide to mc.

      To go back to Emulation Station, exit mc with F10 to get back to the command shell, and then enter exit or press Ctrl-d.

      Both seem to be from Dolphin. I just searched the web for "UseDiscordPresence" and found this: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-mkw-stuttering

      Alas, I have no experience with Dolphin, so I can't help you further with your problem.

      Hey dank, thanks for the heads up; I kinda figured they would be, yeah. I'm just using them as a basis to create my own such that the screen gets positioned right, ie. for the x and y values. I certainly wasn't gonna just lump them all in there.

      While I'm here, did Naomi get borked in the last few weeks? Suddenly the ROMs I have for that don't work (since I had to reimage I mean).

      You know what, never mind, forgetting so many things already done several times over: BIOS!

      @IceChes1 It's the other way around. Ethernet is not slow. All my devices are hardwired from the router this way with 200+Mbps. Raspberry Pi Wifi is however slow. The 3B+ is slightly better performing in my experience on the wifi though. Glad you are now sorted.

      @Eims said in [PSX] Convert various source files into a single *.pbp:

      @mitu Well, I have the .bin and .cue files currently available and would like to process them further.

      OK, so you should be able to convert them to .pbp - isn't this what you intend to do ? If the .cue file is correct, then that's all you need.

      Note that some CDs don't have only 1 .cue + 1 .bin, if the CD has both a data track and multiple audio trackes, you'd have multiple .bin files.
      For instance, In the Hunt has alot of audio tracks, so the .cue should be accompanied by multiple .bin files - http://redump.org/disc/7676/.

      I would say that with today's technology yes, though it would be near impossible to do so without connecting the game cartridge to the computer :). So unless you have some sort of GBA-2-USB adapter, I would say no.

      Ask the person who you bought it from. No one can help you here until you start with a fresh clean image from this website.

      This.

      They shouldn't have sold it to you - it's illegal for them to do so.

      Setting up Retropie is really easy, and I'm sure people here will hold your hand through the process of you find it intimidating.

      You should understand that people here will be very reluctant to help you until you install the (free) legal version of Retropie.

      In the meantime, maybe you should contact the seller and demand a refund - they charged you money for something that is supposed to be free.

      Atari 800 Emulator .CAS Files - can they be played in RetroPie?

      The emulator itself supports both raw and .cas images.
      I do not believe the scraper supports adding these images, so you would have to create a playlist manually.

      The emulators.cfg can be modified to include the following commands:
      -tape <filename> Attach cassette image (CAS format or raw file)
      -boottape <filename> Attach cassette image and boot it
      -tape-readonly Set the attached cassette image as read-only

      I'd imagine it could work with this content in emulators.cfg:
      atari800="echo %ROM: -\ % > /dev/null;/opt/retropie/emulators/atari800/bin/atari800 -config /opt/retropie/configs/atari800/atari800.cfg -boottape %ROM%"
      default = "atari800"

      Please note that i have not tried this myself.

      @massaki
      I've never used the Mayflash adapters but I do read about others having issues with them on this forum. You might search the forums and see what everyone is doing to get it working.

      I've also never used the Buffalo SNES USB controller but I think they work pretty well. Might not have enough buttons for PSX, PSP, Dreamcast and N64 games but those are the systems that are at the very limits of the RPi 3, meaning some games work, some have slow downs and most don't work at all. Out of those 4, you'll probably have the most luck with PSX games.

      I use Xbox 360 controllers (wired & wireless) and they work very well. I've heard the PS3 controllers work well also.
