There is another driver project for ILI9341 based SPI displays https://github.com/juj/fbcp-ili9341 that you can try, if you're still working on the project. That one is a full standalone solution that does not utilize modprobe or the kernel SPI driver. Installation instructions are at https://github.com/juj/fbcp-ili9341#building-and-running

For emulators, anything with the old school standard button layout of of d-pad, a, b, start, and select. The screen is tiny but Gameboy and Gameboy color are perfect. NES is pretty good although text is pretty much unreadable unless you're very familiar with the game. I've been using only NES games which I'm familiar with. The battery lasts about an hour and with the power boost I can charge and play at the same time.

@farrisgoldstein I find when that happens it's because the image is too big. Make it a bit smaller and it's all fine.

I'm running into the same problem where my robopeak usb tft has red and blue swapped when I use fbcp.
Did you find a solution?

@davidstone83 If you are using lr-mame2003 and you have configured your keyboard and controller correctly in emulation station then select should be coin and start should be start. These are the default buttons for RetroArch emulators. It sounds to me like you have borked something or you are using a third party image.

It's working!

I reapplied the Raphnet kernel patch. The CPU is once again showing as BCM2835, but my screen's output is fixed! It looks like the 20170303 version of the kernel fixed the issue.

I'm really going to think twice about updating the software on my now working Super Famicom Pi.

I dont know how to downgrade my retropie. I dont have a pc so can only do it through terminal with internet connection, i dont think thats pissible :/
