On the Pi4 (and 400) there's no need for the GPU memory split, that's required for earlier models. If you have installed from the RetroPie image downloaded from https://retropie.org.uk/download, the memory settings should be fine. For a Pi4, a 512 GPU split is excessive and will not help the performance.

I try Crash Team Racing (chd) with RetroPie 4.8.2 and latest version of lr-pcsx-rearmed(build from source) and the game running without issues. I recommend to open a new topic and add all the necessary info:

With that board, adding "dtoverlay=disable-bt" (sorry, the dot in my prev. msg was a typo i missed to observe&edit) to /boot/config.txt (preferable) under the comment ... :

I just got it to work for me in my retropie in emulation station 2.11.

I kept the name of the rom as dkspkyrmx.zip, dropped it in the rom folder, set the emulator to advmame and set the emulator to lr-fbneo and it worked no prob.

What can I say… it worked.

I guess I was not able to properly write down the code, I got zeroes 0 in there but maybe they where Os or so. Although I tried multiple times.

I tried it now, the code was easy small letters only and with the virtual keyboard in ScummVM it instantly worked.

Have you tried skyscraper? The default for it gives me a screenshot with the marquee and boxart. Not sure if you can add everything you would like but the GitHub for it does talk about customize the scraped art so maybe you can? If nothing else you get some boxart.

@w-ekapak I also have delay and even disconnecting issues with ds4 at times. I solved it by using an 8bitdo bluetooth adapter.

datatype sizes aren't the same between those 2 archs, so you have to find some mean to pad them if you need to save them.

Your OS (Debian 9/Stretch) is outdated and no longer supported; currently only Debian 10 (Buster) is supported and, unfortunately, cannot be upgraded in situ.

I suggest you to backup your roms and then install the current latest official image (currently 4.8) for your hardware from https://retropie.org.uk/download.

Then, flash the 4.8 image and restore your backed-up folders over the network share or by the method of your choice:

Once you've booted see the bit about EmulationStation not being found, you're dropped to a Bash prompt do:
sudo apt install rapidjson-dev
then:
sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie-setup.sh
From here you will select "Manage packages", then "Manage core packages", then "emulationstation", then "Update from source"

HOWEVER, there appears to be a syntax error as the script is named retropie_setup.sh and not
retropie-setup.sh
(Underscore, not dash)
so, to launch the script installation:
sudo ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh
