@COLUMBOSCOAT Sorry have been very busy the past couple of days, haven't managed to get back on this until now. I think I've been mistaken in how I want it to work. I originally planned to allow games on the game cube, or just more demanding games in general, be able to work with RetroPie and I assumed the only way was through Moonlight but I've realised that I've done it all for steam and can't get the game cube one working and I can only seem to find tutorials with moonlight only being used to get steam games on the Pi. Is it still possible to use moonlight to help with the performance of games like Wind Waker etc on the gamecube or is that not possible or have I just gone the wrong way about this? Sorry I realise this topic/question has now gone away from it's roots and I do apologise for my illiterate skills with this.

@Badpewterz Yu might be able to get away with adding a capacitor in series with the LED on pp3 and pp13. I'm sot sure if added capacitance will mess with anything though, since I'm not sure what those pins are for.

that said, a capacitor will charge up and then discharge , smoothing out the blinks. Depending on how often the activity light blinks, it might smooth things out a bit.

@Jiehfeng ok. In the setup script update the retropie setup script. Then click update all installed packages. Update Raspbian packages too when you are asked. Do that then come back to me.

@meleu you can adjust the codes that get sent - means customising the scripts though.

    eg. line 116 of runcommand.sh

    from

    "$ROOTDIR/supplementary/runcommand/joy2key.py" "$JOY2KEY_DEV" kcub1 kcuf1 kcuu1 kcud1 0x0a 0x09 &

    to

    "$ROOTDIR/supplementary/runcommand/joy2key.py" "$JOY2KEY_DEV" kcub1 kcuf1 kcuu1 kcud1 0x0a 0x09 0x0a 0x0a 0x0a &

would assign 0x0a (enter) to buttons 2, 3 and 4 in addition to the existing mapping.

@BuZz Thanks again! Is it possible that the PSP emulation get much better over time?
    Also,
by setting this to fullscreen, will the performance drop? (Scaling Mode or Retroarch custom height and width)

@KeepItFree it's not even about getting a cut. It's a matter of principle. The licences forbid any commercial use- so even we cannot and will not sell retropie.

There will always be another greedy dirtbag. Best we can do is just educate the ignorant public that they are paying for a free product

You might also try PeaZip. It's built around 7-zip with better GUI and more compression formats supported.

    @VTHokiEE
I think it depends on which emulator made those save files. Like if you did a save state with lr-vba-next and try to load it with lr-gpsp, it will not work but go back to lr-vba-next and it can read them again.

Oh man, this is the second time in one week someone asked this question. Takes like 2 seconds on YouTube to find those sites man.

@synack, The Pi works fine when I put my Raspbian card in and boot it up, so I think the Pi is fine.

@Fastcat4 First off, I appreciate people being new to these and not getting their heads around it. However, the info we asked for, and guides and wiki we pointed you towards are all in the stickied "read this first post" at the top of every page of the forum.

This includes all links to the RetroPie wiki which we have been directing you towards.

It also has a table in it to copy and paste to provide accurate details as to your setup and build.

I don't believe you have read that post nor the wiki anything past a cursory glance.

As before, I diagnose a corrupt SD card. I'd check for a compatible card (use Google to find the list), buy it, then read and follow the wiki to try and rebuild.

Never pull any memory cards when data may be being written to it. This applies for all devices, not just raspberry pis.

@markyh444 There have been one or two occasions I thought I might be able to save a hard working developer/mod a couple of minutes, but I'm way too nervous to do it!! Believe me, plenty of play and learning to do yet;))

Never mind... There's a "mode" switch on the controller that needs to be toggled. Putting it here for posterity.
