There must have been a bug in the dxx-rebirth code when the last binaries were built. I have updated them and save is now working again (as you found when building from latest release). Thanks for the feedback.

The script that meleu mentions is a great solution to have the GUI. My issue was apparently everything was writing below the #include line in the cfg files.

Once I moved my player joypad index lines above #include all was well.

Which is why I would always advise anyone to keep a cheap 4/8GB known working SD card at hand, just to test with in case these things happen!

I have the translated Clocktower working fine on my system. Just for the heck of it, will it show up if you rename it to a .sfc file (that's how mine is) and then restart EmulationStation?

I had this exact issue yesterday with RP3 and all updates for Rasp and retropie.

I had to chmod +x all .sh files for each game under ports for it to work, also in the cfg file Quake III didn't look the same as all the other games, so i changed it to suit.

I don't have access right now to check exactly what I changed it to.

Thought I'd post an update here. Super stoked its all going first pop after re-installing and doing everything as before EXCEPT updating packages. This time I'll be sure to clone my SD frequently before any major changes. Thanks for all the help fellas!

some cheats wont work youll have to go through lists for particular game and find ones that work and search for more codes noticed theres an input feature for this. For sonic the hedgehog start with 99 lives cheat worked fine, the first infinite lives cheat didn't but the next one in list did.

@BuZz Oh my god I very much apologizing for wasting your time. I kept getting confused with the 1 and 2. I now understand that I had the wrong model all along and will keep that in mind. I am not all that knowledgeable in it because I use it infrequently. I do thank you for the support and will remember to use this forum if I need information in the future.
