    @fingal perfect! That’s what I was hoping it would do, but hard to explain exactly. So:witnessed you have to go back to games that you already tried mapp8ng 8n this manner and update those too, because they might have their individual saved key maps.

    Glad we solved it.

    @herb_fargus correct there is nothing plugged into the usb port at all. I have removed everything to make sure it isn't causing the problem. it is a 3.1a usb charger with a cable that is about 3ft long

    After a lot of investigation, I didn´t found a working key configuration, online.
    Also I could not access /dev/input/ to use jstest... Whatever, testing, testing, testing made the deal:
    Working xBox360 wired USB Controller:

    [Microsoft X-Box 360 pad] plugged = True plugin = 2 mouse = False AnalogDeadzone = 4096,4096 AnalogPeak = 32768,32768 Mempak switch = Rumblepak switch = Start = button(9) DPad U = hat(0 Up) DPad D = hat(0 Down) DPad L = hat(0 Left) DPad R = hat(0 Right) Z Trig = button(6) C Button U = axis(3-) C Button D = axis(3+) C Button L = axis(2-) C Button R = axis(2+) R Trig = button(7) L Trig = button(8) A Button = button(0) B Button = button(1) X Axis = axis(0-,0+) Y Axis = axis(1-,1+)

    And to complete it, the iNext USB N64 Controller:

    [Generic USB Joystick ] plugged = True plugin = 2 mouse = False AnalogDeadzone = 4096,4096 AnalogPeak = 32768,32768 Mempak switch = Rumblepak switch = C Button D = button(2) C Button L = button(3) L Trig = button(4) Start = button(9) Y Axis = axis(1-,1+) DPad U = hat(0 Up) A Button = button(6) DPad D = hat(0 Down) X Axis = axis(0-,0+) R Trig = button(5) DPad R = hat(0 Right) B Button = button(8) DPad L = hat(0 Left) Z Trig = button(7) C Button U = button(0) C Button R = button(1)

    Seems all fine now, except connecting 2 N64, 1 xBox360 USB and 1 xBox Wireless-Adapter. ES displays, that no Controller is connected. They probably suck to much energy or it is related to the NesPi-Case I´m using :(

    But that is another Topic :)

    @rogerde said in Help formatting SD card.:

    My son is getting his raspberry pi set up but when inserting 32g micro SD card in computer it comes up with 2 drive letters, f and g. Is there a way of making the card just have one drive letter. Both drive letters have different memory sizes.

    That's correct. To simplify, there's a boot partition and a storage partition. The boot partition contains much of the underlying OS and kernel stuff and the storage partition contains all the dependencies, emulators, where your ROMs are stored etc. It's a pretty common format for bootable images. Its probably possible to put it all on one partition but it requires a pretty technical know how.

    The real question is what is he trying to accomplish by plugging the SD into the computer? If it's just to write the retropie image, software like etcher will still recognise the SD as one device even if it's partitioned and will overwrite the whole SD with a fresh retropie image and will have two partitions.

    If you just want to format first as a formality anyways, sdformatter is a useful software for that but I also think etcher might have a simple format option too.

    If you're just looking to transfer ROMs, the standard method of ROM transfer/interaction is done via the network or USB as described in the documentation:

    https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/#transferring-roms

    Hi, thank you for the kind replies. Your suggestions allowed me to explore other ways to troubleshoot. I don't have much time this evening but I did manage to resolve the issue by manually adding the appropriate <folder> data for Quarantine along with its box art in the appropriate gamelist.xml, bypassing the scraper altogether.

    I have kept the original gamelist.xml just in case. For the time being, it's working as intended. Thank you for your input.

    In order to conserve resources, I run my setup at 800x600 (hdmi_group=2 hdmi_mode=9).

    I'm more fond of original aspect ratios so 720p/1080p is pointless for me. If I need to stretch the image to 16:9, I just use the telly/monitor menu.

    @jonnykesh I tried a few combinations and it seems "Generic 102-key (Intl')" with "English-US" is the one to use.
    Thanks for helping!

    If you have a Pi 3, you can disable these devices by adding the following lines to your config.txt

    dtoverlay=pi3-disable-wifi
    dtoverlay=pi3-disable-bt
