      If this helps you, then I looked at the review on this site. There are other adapters there, but I'm not sure about them.

      It's hard to say if you have the proper power supply. Maybe check your power cable. I use an extra long one and keep that in mind when I am troubleshooting. Maybe your Pi or new power supply is malfunctioning. Do you have a second Pi to test your current card?

      Since it's global it sounds like you might need to do some additional troubleshooting. I would almost reinstall with a fresh image on the SD card (or a different one) to rule out the SD card, image & configuration. Maybe a different USB drive if that's what you're using.

      It seems there's a lot that could happening to make a determination or if it was a larger/build related issue more would be posting.

      It's variable, and I'm still working through them one by one, but yes.

      I don't really want to overclock, but Mario 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Kart & Starfox work pretty well. I still have the original console, so although they're not perfect, those ones are pretty decent.

      Goldeneye & Perfect Dark seem to need more power to run well. Conker's Bad Fur Day is unplayable. Working on F-Zero X & Wave Race, as I've read they should work without an overclock, but aren't brilliant on mine.

      Why do you ask?

      @Lagauffre
      I️ have been struggling for weeks yuh this. I️ also bought a different HDMI adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/ya?ac=bia&ref=yo_pop_mb_bia&reorder_params=B01F1SZB2W%2C112-0615068-3893811
      Once I️ read your post I️ tried hooking up the pi to my tv. Shutdown, reboot. Shutdown reboot. No issues. Thank you posting this, I’ll bet this is why a lot of people are having the same issue!

      @tmar89 The very 1st thing I would do is try a different PSU. Just to rule it out. 2A should be enough for a Pi2 but if you have something with 2.5A I would go with that. Also, use a hard wired PSU rather than a plug and USB cable combo. Some cables just aren't up to it.

      @columboscoat agreed. I would add, although I said above it should be fine (if it can do 2amps and keep voltage at 5.1v), I would still recommend a stronger PSU since you will probably be wanting to use controllers and other devices that require power.

      @massaki
      I have some questions:

      Is this your adapter?: http://www.mayflash.com/Products/UNIVERSAL/PC035.html Can you plug the three controllers and use them simutaneously? What are the names RetroArch show when you start it (those yellow letters at bottom-left)?

      @tebra said in Has anyone Gotten the Mayflash Gamecube Adapter to work with Retropie?:

      Is it possible by N: Name="Wii U GameCube Adapter Port 1" and N: Name="Wii U GameCube Adapter Port 2".

      Sadly no. Those do not actually point to the events.

      if I reboot the rpi3 without my keyboard the event number will change. I'm right?

      I believe you're right. However, it might help to rearrange the order of your devices in relation to the USB slots to where the keyboard is always seen last.

      Searching online this afternoon shows that a lot of people seem to have trouble with the low price Mayflash adapter. Raphnet Technologies BRD-4NES4SNES seems to not only work better, but the site expressly discusses use with RetroPie and even has addressed some of the issues people have encountered when using with RetroPie. I just ordered one and it should be here in a week or two.
